218 is finally open gents, but she's a mess! new potholes on the cornwall side, sand, gravel everywhere, and wet/ice on the southbound side from runoff caused by the rocks. Be carefull! |

I went to west point on a job thing last week and wanted to drive my van down there but it was still closed, Last Headless horseman was the first time I was ever on that road in all the years I can remember AWESOME peace of pavement. |

I was just on there today with my wife, 2-up. Great day for a ride - we did 218 south, ate at Barnstormers, crossed the bridge and took 6 south to the circle, then back up 9. 218 was in decent shape for a leisurely ride, though I'd be hesitant to wick it up much beyond "leisurely". |

Do any of you guys run track days around here? I want to take the Triumph out on the track, but I'm not sure if STT or NESBA is a better deal. STT runs at Monticello, and NESBA at NJMP, so for ease of getting to the track Monticello is a lot closer. But is the track good compared to NJMP? This would be my first time on the track, and I'd be running in the Novice category. |

Sean, Monticello is really close, we went out there last year and i think it took about 45min form my house. very nice facility. at the end of the day it was really nice to not have a "trip" to get back home. |

STT also runs at Jersey, I've done both tracks there, havnt been to monti yet but I hear it's awsome and better suited for xb's. (tight and technical) |

Mike, thanks for the offer. It is nice to know they are not a nightmare dealer. I will be up there this morning. Around 9am-10am To look at replacing my 2000 ram. So far they are the only dealer that came close to what I want to pay for a new truck. Besides, I don't mind taking the trip. My wife doesn't really get a chance to get of the island all that much. Going to take here up to bear mountain. If you want to meet up for lunch give me a call on my cell. 631-six zero three- 567five. |
