Taking the kid down to Durhamtown in the morning for some easy riding and learning on the easy trails and pee wee track. Uly's will probably do pretty good on the section we're gonna hit, Charlie, you oughta join us.
You know, I saw your post and thought, "Damn, I wish I had the day off." It didn't click that tomorrow is MLK Day until later when I was talking to my unofficial new girlfriend. Good thing I called her, or I'd have shown up at the office tomorrow, haha.
what a blast!!! the trails were sloppy, but the tracks were good. I never thought I would hear Mason say, " I hate mud!" He had a hell of a day, dropped his bike about 50 times, covered head to toe in muck, both of us got frustrated on the last trail of the day from picking his bike up....but he persisted and conquered! I actually went the entire day without one spill. Mason learned alot today both on the MX track and on the sloppy trails. He was actually getting fast enough on the track to scare me a little considering he's only been on the XR80 a handful of times.
Sounds like fun! I slept late then took the Ninja Turtle out to meet a friend for lunch. It feels like riding in slow motion, haha. After that, I took the KLX 250 out to meet a date.
After the movie let out and I got back on the road, I quickly realized I had no headlight or taillight. I'd also forgotten to put a tag on it, and I'd left the bill of sale at home. I decided discretion was the better part of valor, parked it, and got a ride home from my date to get my truck.
It turned out to be a blown fuse, and I could've borrowed the fan fuse to get home. There is no way in hell I would've ever found the fuse box, though. I had to search forums until I found a picture.
Bryan Fuller is having an open house / party at his shop. That could be a full evening in and of itself. Other then that, we wouldn't be too far from L5P. I was hoping the weather would look better to ride there, but it's not looking too promising to ride.
Oops! Well I guess if you're going to blow up your motor, the best place to do it is right in front of your driveway. At least that way, you don't have to ride home on the back of someone's Ulysses.
