I doubt I can ride Wednesday, but post up your plan if any. I might be able to make something local. |

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!!! Dad came down from Pigeon Forge and we had a great time! It wasn't the same without Mom, but we managed with what we do have, and were very thankful for it. Now the house is devoid of any evidence of Christmas Decor. We made sure to get it done before the week hits. |

I had a pretty awesome Christmas. I loaded up Corsa and drove to my grandmother's house in Texas by way of my other grandparents in Louisiana. I spent Christmas with my grandmother, my uncle, my parents, and some assorted cousins. I even took a spin on my uncle's Road King. It was ... different. I saw my other grandparents again on my way home, and now I'm back in Atlanta. |

So Smokescreen and I went muddin on the bikes yesterday, I got stuck twice and dropped it once, Phil only got stuck once. Only explored a little but when it dries up I will be going back! I will post a pic of the muddy Uly after a while. |

Charlie, you're gonna have to find you a dedicated dirt bike if you keep that up. I added a XR80R to the stable yesterday, Mason isn't quite tall enough for it yet, but momma is, just seeing if I can get her hooked enough to get her a dirt bike before he grows into this one. Thinking about taking her down to Durhamtown or HP next weekend and ride the easy trails so I can get used to that monstrosity of mine and get her on the 80. |

The Arai Corsair V RC shares its method of carbon fiber shell construction with the $5,095 GP-6 RC Formula One car racing helmet. That means, like the GP-6, it takes 22 man hours to make a single helmet. With a shape and vents modeled after the Arai Corsair V and, presumably, a much lighter weight, the RC would become, in our opinion, the most desirable bike helmet on the market, if Arai decides to produce it. An Arai representative suggested to Superbike that production is unlikely, stating "to get these helmets perfect/to Arai's very high standards, the rate of rejects will be high (and expensive)." No further info is currently available on the RC, but it is on display at England's NEC bike show. http://hellforleathermagazine.com/cgi-bin/mt/mt-se arch.cgi?IncludeBlogs=1&tag=Arai%20Corsair%20V%20R C&limit=20 |

Sunday I went to the Battle of Atlanta hare scramble. It was pretty cool. They let 360 dirt bikes loose on this huge course. It starts off with some difficult woods trails and ends with an obstacle course. Each lap takes an hour or so. I took a bunch of pictures: http://www.incorrect.org/coppermine/thumbnails.php ?album=81 Some of my faves: The tree house: Check out the suspension compression. The log jump: The planks: The corner before the tree house: The jump before that: So Charlie, when will we have a tree house in your back yard?? |

Oh, and here's what I did Saturday.
It's a 2008 Ninja 250. The guy was selling it to punish his daughter, and I got a good deal on it. It only has 2100 miles on it, and it looks brand new. I haven't even ridden the damn thing yet, though, because I lose my will to live as soon as I step out into the freezing weather. |

Looks like one hell of a weekend. The scramble looks like a blast! And the photos are lovely as always. Nice score on the Ninja. I bet it would smoke my 1200! |

Stupid email spam but still funny: I sat, as did millions of other Americans, and watched as the government under went a peaceful transition of power a few months ago. At first, I felt a swell of pride and patriotism while Barack Obama took his Oath of office. However, all that pride quickly vanished as I later watched 21 Marines, in full dress uniform with rifles, fire a 21-gun salute to the President. It was then that I realized how far America 's Military had deteriorated. Every damn one of them missed the bastard. |
