We're going out for a ride on Sunday, in case anyone wants to go. It'll probably be the last good weather day for a while. Call me for details. |

So how was the ride??? I wish I could have gone, but I had to work all day... |

It sucked. My bike sputtered all day because the ECM wouldn't reset. Finally did it about five minutes before I got home from a 200 mile day. |

Sorry to hear that. |

It was pretty terrible. That was about the longest 200 miles I've ever done on a bike. |

I'm making my appointment to get my comfort kit installed and I'm going to have them flash the ECM and do all that stuff that'll make that not happen again. Murrae was saying that the '08 and '09 are radically different in programming and temperament. |

I thought you had an `09? |

So the `09's are the wonky ones? |

Both years have their quirks...wife has an 08. Sounds bad if it was sputtering while on the road just cruising. Almost sounds like an engine electrical problem... They should have flashed it and reset the AFV before you picked it up. What's up with that? BTW: Did you know you can reset the TPS on the 08-09 models by twisting the throttle in a special sequence... check it out in the tech section. |

Yeah, found that out afterward. I'm going to get it up there this week and have them fix the AFV and install the comfort kit. |

Good luck, I had tons of surging problems with my '08. I finally got tired of it spending more time in the shop than on the road. I sold it and got an 1125CR. |

Surging problems? What's that all about? Mine hasn't done that. I did get the comfort kit installed and they flashed the ECM, so we'll see how that works out. How's the CR? Do you have the clubman bars or the taller ones? Seems like everyone ran out and got something after the plug was pulled. Murrae already had the S3, and he'd already upgraded to an '08 Uly, but he also has a TT, a 12S track bike, and also bought a CR. The guys in Colorado all bought 1125's too, but I don't think they were all CR's. |

Yea, surging... try riding through a school zone at 15MPH and see if it surges. I had to go through three dang school zones on the way to work, and it drove me crazy. 15MPH is about 3000 - 3500 RPM's and the bike would sometimes buck like a damn horse. I picked up a Honda ST1300 in July to replace the oogly, and a 12SS in September to play in the curves. When the deals started flying I picked up the 1125CR, I wanted the lower gearing. I don't need the taller gearing, this thing does 150 no problem as is! I've got the high bars, touring seats, and Lightning pegs. It is VERY roomy and comfortable. The power is phenominal, I am amazed. All I need is a bigger windscreen, and it will be perfect. You can still use EcmSpy to look at your ECM and do TPS resets on the '08 and '09 models. You just can't make any mods to the ECM or fuel maps with it. I hope the re-flash does the trick, get some miles on that puppy! You have unlimited miles on that warranty... |

My 08 TT Never surged, just lots of choking on it self when I try to ride it cold. |

Are you recruiting corner workers again? We lost Robert Dinn that way and I never saw him again. Literally. |

He not corner working... he's timing and scoring... I did see Robert 3 times this summer. He hasn't been working any corners for quite some time. |

it's also only one weekend a month. Shouldn't be too much to ask. |

Unless you want to go to Deming in June and Sept, then it's two weekends. |

Ed, you should check out this site: http://palmerproducts.auto.officelive.com/buellxb1 2x.aspx I haven't clicked on too many of the sponsor links on badweb, but this one is interesting. |

The windshield looks interesting. I think I would end up putting it on a second fly screen though, that way I could swap em out for round the town riding. I like the hand guard extenders as well. |

I'm interested in the hand guard extenders and the bar end weights. The extenders were also on the touratech site, but these ones look just about the same. The coolness on the bar ends is that they'll fit with the guards on. |
