Hi John. Well Dan got his bike. Steve was there getting his 1000km service and Zac was hanging out waiting for us. Dan installed his GP shifter and his heated gear. We got a later start, stopped and got a bite to eat and by the time we got done it was around 3pm. So........that being the time, we didn't get up to the hills due the concern of temps and possible ice We did get some miles in and it was great seeing Steve and Zac and the guys at HCHD. And Dave, we don't need no stinking couch cruisers. . Thank you and Russ for the ease of the process. Very smooth and painless. |

Yes, some of us did. Their was lots of stuff at good prices. Not much that i needed but a lot of stuff that i wanted. lots of good prices on helmets and clothing. It was not very crowded. A lot busier at the dirt bike sale on oct. 31st. How does Dan like the new bike? |

He says he thinks he going to like it. It will need different bars tho. He doesn't like the position with the clubman bars. And he's currently out in the garage now looking to put the lower foot pegs on it. Will use the XB pegs from his TT. Will have to modify them a little bit to fit the GP shifting linkage. We were at Performance for the dirt bike sale and it definitely was busy. Lots of stuff one wants but doesn't necessarily need. Did you get out to ride at all today? What a beautiful day. Didn't need the heated gear at all. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on November 27, 2009) |

Lynn, it's nice seeing you with a Buell. I remember, not too long ago, when you sat on my bike and said "no way" or something like that. It was at the Shell station in Penrose. (is that the same Shell station?) Now look at you. Running down the highway with your hand on your knee. WAY COOL. Jody, where's the CR? Keeping her clean??!!!! Glad you guys had a great day. Julie, my CR has 530+ miles on it and so is due for the break in service very soon. I wasn't prepared to travel up to Frederick and don't have the filter to change the oil yet. So... it was fun to get the old XB out and take it for a ride. After parting ways with Franky and Lynn I went out and rode a dirt road up near South Park. Can't do that with my CR! |

Julie, No Buell ride today. Did get a 2 hour bike ride in and then did some carburetor performance adjustments on the Yamaha Wr. Rode it around the area testing it out. Was almost dark when I got it done. Runs really good. Will try to get out midweek on the Buell. Spring will not come soon enough. Glad everyone is having fun on their new bikes. |

You can(or can't) see hoe much fun we had by how many pix we got... nary a one. Had a blast. Nice to get a ride of any kind like this in late November. Not the time of year to push things tho, so we loafed. And it was good. You Southers are looking good too, as are the new babies. Hope to see y'all soon Z |

Dave, it was too cold for a "spirited, Buell ride", so we opted for a "Harley ride". A ride is a ride... Z |

WOW, I thought that was a no-go Frank. I heard Obama cut the budget as this isn't part of the stimulus package. |

Funny.... They are all volunteers that man the phones and do the emails. It is actually a good time. The production they put on, which is shown on screens throughout Headquarters, is really a nice show. I always stop to watch it while roaming the hallways. I do have a great story about how this function almost left Cheyenne Mountain but was stopped by an Admiral that felt strongly about it. |

Being that Christmas is less than a month away, is there anyone out there that would like to join us for the day. If so, let me know so we can make plans and enjoy a day of celebration together. Julie |

Julie, sounds great. Lynn and I do not know what we are doing yet but will decide soon. We were planning to go to Vegas but have many variables. On another note: If you are interested in going to Homecoming 2010, please see the thread on Storm Fronts. They really need your commitment and $35 before 12/28 to put down a deposit on the banquet room and for the block of rooms that they have reserved. |

Frank, I am working on a bike too. Here, let me post some progress photos. A little canary yellow 2010, a rare bird indeed. As near as I can tell there were maybe a few dozen made. Looks like I soon may become ~jammin_Canary. I just need to find a good home for Joules.

Dave, I will be interested to see if that bike can keep up with a 14 year old tuber all the way to Homecoming. I hope you and Zac can make it and you need to start working on Bones as well. I am sure HCHD can survive a couple of days without you all. |

If I ever have to buy another new bike I think I know what it will be. We at Triumph were sorry to hear about Harley-Davidson’s decision to stop building Buells. Although Buell have been our competitors over the years, we have always had the utmost respect for Erik Buell’s passion and engineering innovation. Our philosophy at Triumph is ‘Go Your Own Way’ and we truly felt that there were only two brands in the world that embraced this ethos and allowed motorcyclists to express their individuality: Buell and Triumph. We welcome any Buell riders who want to join us at Triumph events. Our dealers host regular rides and other activities and if you would like to find out more, you can get details at a local Triumph dealer. http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/News_12145.aspx I know two Triumph riders (former Buell riders) in Colorado. Cheryle and Kim are class acts. |

"I hope you and Zac can make it and you need to start working on Bones as well. I am sure HCHD can survive a couple of days without you all. It's not that H-C Buell can't survive, it's all the needy customers who need encouragement that I worry about in our absence. With you guys on the road, we have to work harder in the dealership. re. tube frame versus Erik & ELves best XB ever; game on.} |

...I thought that was a no-go Frank. I heard Obama cut the budget as this isn't part of the stimulus package... As long as they steer clear of Alaska, they should be okay. I hear the ex-gubinator there is outta work and may be gunning for them in order to meat on her table. PS. Obama cut spending, ain't in his nature nor that of the Demoblicans. |

Although Buell have been our competitors over the years, we have always had the utmost respect for Erik Buell’s passion and engineering innovation. And I will sell you that new motorcycle for 1/2 off, if only I had that particular motorcycle.... I know Triumph owners, eg. Bones & James, old & new, and protocol with a dose of fear of retribution from coworkers prohibits me from commenting. |
