Torq, glad to hear that your bike made it home ok. Sorry about having to leave Darwin and the other guy out there, I don't remember his name-I was bombarded with a lot of names to try and remember last night. Any way we had to split because of the whole exploding ankle bracelet. Other than that I had fun, and maybe next time we have a better end! Keep me posted, hope you guys feel better!!!!! | ||

Stretch-I was on the XB-CR still nice and new and my high bar option just came in so I'll probably play/mount that soon. UPDATE: half of the parts required to fix both XB's are already acquired-both bikes ridable soon. soreness continues with bruising but we are alright-nothing broken and no road rash. As for Darwinisms- don't worry-those who know me well-I'm all over it with a ruthless passion! told him yesterday when it comes to Lead,Follow,or get out of the way just leave off the lead and either follow or get out of his way  | ||

well...i'm glad to hear that everyone survived and is in relatively good shape....the machines can be repaired/replaced... i had to get gas, i should've told someone that i need to so we could all pull over and not get separated. Oh well, i guess it was better off that i did....otherwise it could've been me barreling into Torq or someone barreling into me... I did have a rather uneasy feeling about the pace of the ride, although i had part in setting the pace. I guess there was just some uncertainty about the whole thing, riding with people that you don't know probably has something to do with it.... I've rode enough with Myron and Mike to know their riding tendencies and anticipate their actions, and they do the same with me.... all in due time....let's get together and ride and work this stuff out...again, i'm glad that y'all are somewhat unscathed | ||

I'm all for riding together again, but I want to be behind Darwin!!! All jokes aside, I think that if we all rode together a couple more times we would become more organized and be able to prevent future situations. That being said, what's up this weekend? I work til 5 tomorrow, and I'm off Sun and Mon... let me know if anyone is up for a ride | ||

will probably be too sore for a few more days and XB still needs handlebars(bent) and front brake lever(bent) knee still swollen and shin and foot bruised and whole left side upper body very sore. Darwin should chime in but his foot still purple and swollen (believe it gat caught between foot peg and my swingarm-both bikes have road rash, but we dont thankfully. I'll keep you updated as things progress. on a good note the high bar kit was installed today on CR-had to do something rewarding for my birthday | ||

Hey Myron and Darwin, you guys heal up soon and if I can help in any way with the bikes let me know, after all they don't call me the parts bitch for nothing!!! And I'm pretty handy with a wrench if I do say so myself! | ||

i have spare bars...but i think i may put the renthals back on the ghost.... also have to reassemble the gear case and bring it up to my specialist so he can diagnose the "knock" | ||

i read the blog and while it seems somewhat promising, it's doubtful that it will do the lehman buell jockey any good in the immediate future..... Only when Erik can prove to Harley that Buell brand motorcycles are marketable will we have any hope to see a production Buell motorcycle on the showroom floors again. | ||

Ya' know, it's just my opinion, but if I were in a situation like Eric Buell, it would feel like a real slap in the face for Harley to as him to join back up with them after they see him doing well on his own. I really lost a lot of respect for the Harley Davidson company because of the way that they had no problem cutting loose the entire Buell line, when times are tight, when they should have become more creative and aggressive with their marketing, and if any bikes should have gone it should have been the v-rod line, those don't sell at all. And the company wouldn't be in this position in the first place had they not pushed and later forced the dealers to build the big ass super-showrooms. If Harley Davidson would have stuck to their founding principles and had some integrity about them instead of allowing themselves to become enslaved by money and greed, then we would not even be having this conversation right now!!!! And that goes for a lot of other businesses in this country, that's why our financial status, as a nation, is the way it is right now! | ||

still sore but I went for a short ride on the 1125CR yesterday to test the new high bar install and to just keep things a rollin and use up a few more break in miles my XB is a brake lever away from being repaired although I can ride her the way she is Darwin's XB is waiting on few parts due in next week total cost for all Buell parts $650-gotta love that-do that with a jap bike! aftermarket accessories another $200 this week is crazy with Thanksgiving but maybe I'll be up for a ride Wed-I'll keep all informed | ||

Happy Thanksgiving!!! I've been busy all night making way too much food, and loving every minute of it! So Wednesday is the first day since I got my Buell that I did not ride it- I went out and apologized to her and explained to her why! The rain flooded my street so bad that I almost needed a boat to get out of my apt(would be nice if the f-ing drainage they are installing would have been working already!) Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving! And let's ride again soon! | ||

Listen here mule, I am not made of paper and sugar, neither is Ruby, it's just that neither one of us floats! Seriously for an entire block the whole street was under water (muddy water at that) and right in front of my apartment it was like 2-3 feet deep! And maybe I'll let you spank me next time you see me, depends on what sort of mood I'm in!  Once again this year I made way too much food as I do everytime I cook for Thanksgiving. I made apple pie, apple cherry pie, apple bluberry pie, turkey stuffed with dressing and covered with bacon, shredded brussel sprouts sauteed with minced garlic and bacon, scalloped sweet potatoes au gratin, green bean casserole, home made mashed potatoes, and home made gravy! There was only 4 of us eating all of that food! I am totally stuffed and bloated, but I did go for a nice leisurely ride out to 27 to visit some friends, then the turkey started kicking in, so I came home. Hope everyone had a totally ROCKING Thanksgiving! See you guys soon- I hope | ||

c'mon, i was really hoping you were made of sugar...you sure do seem really sweet.... and what difference does your mood make, you're still getting bent over my knee and spanked....LoL I went out for a ride yesterday up here in central florida...very nice...My uncle has an 09 gixxer and a 04 firebolt....I of course rode the bolt! we toured a number of backroads around sanford, deland and eustis. Found some decent twisties and sweepers and had ourselves a good ol time. The weather was beautiful and the bikes were running great! All in all, 3 hours later and a covering well over a hundred miles, we were done! The food was good...got bloated on that...The football sucked! but you can't win them all! | ||

So I really want to get together and go for a ride again with you guys. I'm thinking we could get together again on wednesday night, but I would love to do something during the daylight. Maybe a sunday thing, meet at Flossies on Ravenswood rd, and then we could tackle the whole perimeter rd in the daylight! And then a ride out to cafe 27 after that? What does everyone else think? Maybe in the near future we could come up with some sort of witty name for ourselves... | ||

I have a connection to a motor for my 9 which i may have to jump on. I was talking it over with my uncle. It'd be easier and less expensive to swap a new motor in than break down the current motor, machine and replace the damaged goods... i think i may be doing that soon....after all $500 bucks for motor, tranny and swing arm aint bad! how about "The Rear-enders" or the "Backsiders" | ||

I feel more like a Timex- I took a licking and kept on ticking. Remember I did get up and ride my bike home to get the truck. thinking Wed night @ Hooters again or someplace in Broward for Tepi's sake and then ride somewhere-someone else choose a route (and the lead-I wanna hang back this time round ) both bikes up and running-only a fairing and windscreen on order for Darwin but scarred ones in place for now. Darwin probably wont make it-he's in school , but I spoke with Alex this eve and he seemed up for it on Wed. lemme know |
