CR owners, and those considering CRs but not sold on the appearance the naked pods give, look at this:

Is this a hint that High Country may start selling some of the aftermarket parts for our Buells? |

Not likely stock them because many of these smal creative & innovative parts manufacturers have pretty demanding terms; high minimum quantities, COD or prepay on orders, maybe even no wholesale pricing for dealers. These guys are in Europe. TourA-Tek is a good example. They have a California wholesaler and he basically sells retail to dealers. Now consider that we have sold maybe 12, 14 CR's. Most only sold because of such low cost implying disposable income was used up buying the bike. Not a good sign to order custom parts on spec. For instance, numerous people who bought 1125R's at phenomenal low prices asked about the fairing lowers. When our inventory went to zero having sold at $299, we found we could order and sell at $339, some owners balked at the price increase and have not ordered. But James could investigate if a few CR people are interested and some solid lists of parts are desired. He'd be happy to take firm orders if it makes sense for both us and the buyers compared to you buying direct. The fairing lower kit for 1125R is a good example, numerous ones have been bought through us for around the country because we sold below MSRP when Buell gave us an incentive, other Buell dealers, not so much. We should talk Friday. |
