Hey all, it was great seeing you last night, even if I was the only real Bad Weather Biker. |

Here's a few pics from Fran and Kathy's Halloween party
me and the kids...
Our house, Shelley and the kids did a great job on the pumpkin carvings.
Thanks Fran and Kathy for hosting the party. Always a blast hanging with the 3%ers. |

As always, we had a great time, and it was a needed break from our daily grind. Looking forward to next time.

So it is not "finished" but the remote start alarm system is working on the Uly. Will have a video posted later on tonight. |

It's alive. It's ALIVE!!! That's neat, and it will be loads a fun watching the unexpected passer by and their expression when is starts on it's own. Now you need to get video of that. |

All the wiring for the remote start is in the fuse block with the factory stuff. With a little neat and tidying it will look factory and all the parts of the alarm will sit where the exhaust servo used to be. Best alarm ever for $25. It is called a Steel Mate(chinese translation is terrible) and if you find one on ebay I can show you where and how to hook up to the xb. |

Just make sure you don't park your bike in gear. |

That thing is so freaking loud! Charlie demonstrated it for me last night, and I'm pretty sure he proactively scared away anyone who might be thinking about stealing the bike any time in the next 10 years. |

The guy on Ebay I bought them from is currently out of stock but should have more soon. He said next go round the target price is $70.00, still a good deal at that price. |

Fran and Glitch- just put Crossroads on and love them. However, my throttle is stiff. How did you guys route your cables? Is your throttle stiff? I did install grip heaters but the wiring seems to be clear. I really haven't had time to mess with it since I installed them though. I have been riding everyday for the last few weeks. Well, except for Ida coming through! |

Does it loosen up if you back off the bolts holding the switch housing/cable assembly together? I noticed that when I put my new bars on. I just needed to clean out some dirt and gunk that had accumulated. |

Odie: That was the hardest part of the install. I think I had to adjust the throttle cable three or four times before I had mine completely free. |

Short local ride today, leaving my place about 12:30. Prolly wrap up about 3:30 4 ish. My rear tire is almost gone and the tags expire wed. I got two big road trips coming up and the bike will prolly be down till Jan or so. Come out if you can. |

Wish I could have made it out that way today. I didn't get home from school till 1:30PM. Only four more weeks of school, and then I'll have some free time back, except for my neglected Honey-do-list. |

Thanks Fran. I will check them out this weekend (my weekend is Mon/Tues). Overtime is killing us right now. Do you happen to have a pic of how you routed yours coming up thru the upper triple? I didn't change a thing routing wise. I set the crossroads on top and installed the handle bars. If you have time..... |

Thanks Fran. I will compare notes tonight. I did not re-route the clutch cable and it moves fine but I worry about longevity though. |

Moved the throttle cables from the rear of the fork tube to the front. It is better but not perfect. I guess I'll keep messing with it and see what I get. Some lubrication/maint. would help too I'm sure! |

New cables might help too. I dunno how many miles you have on yours, but my return cable snapped about 25k, and the main cable was almost done as well. Replacing them made a huge difference. |

Yea, I agree. I'm at 25K right now. I'll order some and see what that does. Thanks! |

Going for a ride tomorrow. I'll be leaving the Lilburn area at 9:30AM and heading north, with a guy from work. Post up if you can make it. |
