I'm going to be checking with Alpine Valley for rates and with the Chamber of Commerce in East Troy to see if we can get some plans going. |

Just read some online reviews of Alpine Valley, and they aren't too good, so...... |

To be honest, if we get special rates on a hotel, in the sub-$75/night range, I'd probably find a roomie (or two) and be happy with that. Not having to camp really cuts down on the amount of stuff I need to bring. |

If any higher people will tend to spread out. What we need to locate is the price with enough room.... a guestimate of how many people. Get a block on set amount of rooms in order to get a package price with giving them the knowledge that it could be more. They will probably give us deadline date of a time frame in which people can get there reservation at said package price. This is what I have learned from past years. |

That looks like a nice place. Do you tent or RV? I've got a tent and would be interested in camping at country view. I have a truck and trailer and maybe getting 6 more people coming next year. I'll just have to set up the trailer to haul more bikes. } |

Not bad rates. I say call them and ask for a manager to see what can be worked out. Also thought about Burlington |

I have an "in" with a local(think Milwaukee)screen printer who can do T-shrits on the in-expensive. I have worked with him several times in the past and have never been disappointed. All he needs is a design in the proper format, # of colors to be in the design, how many shirts and what kind of shirts. I know that this is not a "rush" issue but if there is an interest it may take some time to decide on the design and other issues. Or has someone else brought up T-shirts already and I missed it? Is there someone on the BadWeb that already does T-shirts? The last thing that I wanna do step on toes. I do not want over step here, but who is should this go to? Steve, Brian, Dana, Rocco? |

I have friend that owns a company here that does T's but I think Steve has someone that does work for him also. We'll keep you in the loop. We need to hash out some of main detail's first then we can get a grip on the other stuff. |

If Hal's is going to be a sponsor for HC, maybe somebody should speak with Mackay and Bud about a screen printer they use? |

I have a truck and trailer No kidding! That's an impressive rig! I'll just have to set up the trailer to haul more bikes I've gotta ride. I'm in Minneapolis and East Troy is only about 340 miles away. I figure I might as well get the bike warmed up before I get there. |

John I think if you reread my post I in some manner had suggested that Bro. But keep in mind that Bud also said money is some what of a factor also so this also could mean a grass roots effort to have them done. We'll know more soon. |

I Like June 9th thru the 13th. Includes a track day. If there aew CCS races that weekend, I'll have no problem skipping them. Steve, can you update the survey please |

going off the survey posted, it seems like mid June is pretty popular. Although there is no track day scheduled for that time frame, I don't think that should be a deciding factor. If a time is chosen and not around a track day, I can live with it. |

Survey as of this afternoon:
When would be the best time for Homecoming 2010 | | Early June | 9 | 9.1% | Mid June | 26 | 26.3% | Late June | 28 | 28.3% | Early July | 9 | 9.1% | Mid July | 15 | 15.2% | Late July | 8 | 8.1% | Early August | 4 | 4.0% | Mid August | 0 | 0.0% | Late August | 0 | 0.0% | What events would you be interested in? | | Kettle Moraine "adventure ride" | 53 | 53.5% | Blackhawk Farms trackday | 25 | 25.3% | Seeing Erik Buell and the Thunderbolts | 72 | 72.7% | Great Lakes Drag Racing | 10 | 10.1% | Mississippi River Run | 37 | 37.4% | Tour of the original barn where the 1st bikes were built | 86 | 86.9% | Lets get BUDc to do some homework on Blackhawk track days. See if they can do something for us. Buell has been a big customer, and supporter of Blackhawk for years. Maybe we could get them to throw us a bone. For a "special" date. I'm sure it will all depend on how many spots we can reserve/sell to do this. |

Only problem with early and mid June is the rain factor. Its rained out the last 3 years at Road America for the races. My thoughts were aiming at late just because the weather is usually better. |

Another option for a screen printer is John from Hoban Brother's Racing. His wife runs a screen print business and has done shirts for me in the past. Great work and they are a Buell family! |

June sounds good.. i picked early July because where i work we get 2 weeks off for shutdown during the 4th... so that way i dont have to take a week of vacation!!! Hopefully if we do the track day, there will be other events going on for those of us who don't wanna take the chance of low siding our ride home!! |

Weather is always an issue here in Wisconsin. Didn't you guys wear winter clothes last year? But it could be 80 and beautiful next year at the same time. Seems like June is the most popular time. Again, if a track day isn't important, I'd go with mid June. Late June, and you're into the holiday weekend. Early June and we may be fighting snow. If Bud can get something together for an off date track day, even better. Seems the next date would be mid July. Probably more stable weather, but too soon after a holiday? |

ya don't have to go nuts on the track! LOL, Well, it was supposed to be a pace lap at Road America at the 25th, but i remember trying to keep up at 80-90mph too.. Get me on that track and i would need a flight home!! |

Didn't you guys wear winter clothes last year? Yep it was cold, windy and rainy that weekend at Road America. Thats why I was thinking after that weekend. Like I said crappy the last 3 or 4 years. Hell you and I and the girls rode threw rain and a bit of some hail if you remember. |

it was cold out and raining so I didn't even got to Elkhart Lake this last homecoming. I just stayed in Kenosha at Ukes open house and froze my ass off. The later in June the better chance for good weather. |
