Hotel was along the lines I was thinking. If that's the base of operations, I'll probably just stay there rather than camp. |

well, the only hotel in East Troy (country inn) is probably out. The price is WAY out there. $109 weekdays, $219 weekends??!!!! That's nuts! |

Rocco... call them tomorrow ask what a group rate would be if it was in access of 75 people and possibly more. You may be surprised as to what the rate could be. |

http://alpinevalleyresort.com/room_rates.php this is always a possibility. I'd have to call and see how receptive to motorcycles they'd be seeing they are a golf resort in the summer. |

If I may make some suggestions, While I am not a big fan of camping, june july in wisconsin should be absolutly the best for out doors, The reason I am suggesting it again is about the "hog roast" set up an out door venue, have a cookout, one night, day one arrive meet and greet at location "A" where ever that is day two, group rides, lunch, barn tour, dinner at various places or agreed on place in east troy? day three pick one, [ A trac day,] [ b adventure ride,] meet at selected venu for dinner, and relaxing day 4 area rides, PM hog roast Perhaps The thunderbolts that night ( consider catering, if you were doing this in NC it would not be a problem ) day 5 breakfast/farewell my question on the "adventure ride" would this include dirt? perhaps if the "home comming" is longer than a weekend then the events can be spread out, and more items included, I for one want to say Ive had a cold one at the boiler room, and actualy looked at Dana's bike.. |

The pig roast will be easy. Maple Creek Farms does an awesome pig! We'll be checking on pricing shortly. |

quote:Mackay: Blake, you once said The day would come when me and Dana could form our own families. Until today I would never think Of such a thing but now I must ask your permission. Blake: Well, Rocco's Head Of The Family now and if give his permission Then you have my blessing. Rocco: After we make The move to East Troy you can break Off from The BadWeB Family and go Off on your own. After we make The move to East Troy.

Well him and I have been great friends for years now and I couldn't think of a better person to work with as well. Together all of us will work a great Homecoming. BTW where are those quotes??? 1. Thursday) Show up. Meet fellow Buell Enthusiasts. Go out for dinner. Talk about motorcycles, hot sauce or ... 2. Friday)Go for rides around the area. Go see the Mississippi, or go to the H-D Museum, or go ride through the Kettle Moraine, or stay and chill at the motel, if you want. 3. Friday night) Go to the Boiler Room and listen to Erik & The Thunderbolts. 4. Saturday) Go to Farm. Hopefully, Henry Duga or Dave Gess or Court would give us a little talk about what it was like there back when. 5. Saturday evening) Have the Dinner with Erik as the Guest of Honor. It's simple, and everybody would have a great time. |

I wouldn't be oppossed to Homecoming being held on a race weekend at Blackhawk Farms. I'm tired of whipping up on SV650s and Ducatis, I want to mix it up with my fellow Buell racers Dab nabit!!! |

I really wouldn't care if there were NO organized activities, I will be there as I have been since the 20th. I go for the ride, the bikes and to see and talk with my fellow Buellers. Please don't misunderstand, the activities are great and I appreciate them - but for me at least - it's really about the people. Oz "Nobody gets in to see the Wizard. Not nobody, not no how." |

Summerfest WOULD be a cool event nah, we'd all just get lost in a morass of people and never see [or realize we saw] each other... |

I think the biggest thing right now is to nail down a date. Everything else will fall into place. We need it so people can plan and to see if Mr.Buell is even available at the time of Homecoming. |

I agree. Let's get a date set. Then everyone can make plans to be there. |

My vote; June 9th-11th. It allows for the track day for those who want it, Avoids conflict with the Holiday weekend, and allows Sun as a travel day (Sat and Sun for some of us). Regardless of the date or activities planned I hope to be there. Hell if I show up and even just hang with another Bueller around a campfire it will be fun!!! |

We really can't NAIL a date down until the 2010 CCS/ASRA and AMA race schedules are out. |

well Steve, we may just have to take a chance. I would just sit out a race weekend if it falls on the same date. |

I'd be willing to bet the AMA races at Road America will be the first weekend in June |

you know me, im all about running the crap out of my bikes, especially at a trackday. although i kind of feel as though the last one done around homecoming had me miss seeing alot of people. even the ones i was there with i didnt get to see alot. to busy rehydrating so i caould make another run! so im unsure if i would do it. i do enjoy the fact that its about seeing my friends and actually spending time together as what i would call a VERY extended family. thats one of the reasons i spouted up about taking over a campground when we first started talking 2010 homecoming. i am by no means a camper. i like a hotel. but i cant think of a better way to have most everyone in one spot. plus think of all the campfire stories! thats what i look forward to!!! and if you see someone standing in the middle of one of those bonfires with a drink in their hand its probably me... well, the track day, unless we do it on our own, would be on a Wednesday, so not really cutting into anything. camping is cool, but I'm not sure how well it would go over. Now if we could find a campground that rents cabins too..... |

I doubt you''l get everyone to camp. Getting a host hotel/motel would be in the best interest. I many take the direction to camp then that would be a great night gathering spot. |

I really enjoyed the quality of the Sheraton Brookfield at the 25th; however, my wallet really enjoys the Knight's Inn in Racine. Forty bucks a night looks a lot more affordable than a hundred and fifty. If I hit the Mega Millions, I'll rent an entire hotel and pick up the tab for everybody. However, since I know the odds of that happening, I'll need to squeeze the nickel 'till the buffalo shits. The economy being the way it is, I'm sure that there are a few others who feel the same way. |

Best ideal situation would be to stay in a hotel Thursday, Friday while doing "tour of the Barn" and Adventure rides.... then Camp out saturday in the same location as the HOG roast and The Thunderbolts.... Now that would be perfect!! |

I'd give the folks at Alpine Valley a jingle and see what they can do on a group deal. I stayed there several times, years ago, and it was all but deserted in the summer. I'm thinking the lure of a couple hundred folks staying, eating and drinking may pique their interest. If you need contact info, drop me a note . . . I've made some very nice friends in the area the last couple weeks who seem to be quite well connected. |
