Author Message   Ratyson Posted on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 - 09:35 am:        I am planning a charity event in honor of my Mom, Maryanne Tyson, who passed away September 10th, 2009. Mom, and my Sister Patti were both diagnosed with Breast cancer within one week of each other in October of 2008. Patti is doing fine, and is expected to have a full recovery and be cured. My Mom however, after a long and brave fight, was taken over by her disease and passed away on her 67th Birthday; September 10th, 2009. All proceeds from this event will go to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The event will be similar in nature to an Iron Butt ride, with the addition of raising money for a great cause. The event planning is still in the infancy stages, and I will keep this thread up to date. The route, at this point, is planned to cover a triangle that spans Snellville, Georgia, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and Huntsville, Alabama. The round trip covers approximately 700 miles, and includes some GREAT roads. I figure I will leave the exact route open to each riders interpretation at this point. The goal is to reach each destination. I want to invite each and every one of you to participate in this event. As I said, the planning is still in the infancy stages, and I will update this thread as plans finalise, so keep checking back! LETS RAISE SOME MONEY TO FIND A CURE!! This is for any Motorcycle flavor (street legal of course). As you have probably figured this out... this ride is not taking place.. I have been doing other smaller fund raising activities along the way. Today marks 1 year since Mom passed, as well has her birthday. :< Hug your Moms, and tell them you love them. Thank you to those who have supported my journey~!!
