I meant leave St Paul later if folks couln't make it for a 11-11:30 departure. Are you guys OK w/me booking rooms and collecting once we get there? Does it matter which chain we stay at as long as it's close to New Berlin? I've got me,Ted and Mike? and Dave for rooms correct? Post up or PM me. Somebody started a lodging thread but looks like this came together so fast everyone is just grabbing a room close to Hal's. No host or central hotel. My thought was before we leave MN,get a solid room count, and have my gf Renee book the needed rooms on priceline on my card. Possibly the Sheraton,Doubletree in Brookfield or Raddison in Pewaukee. | ||

I'd love to go, but I don't have any money to spare. We still have Brad's two-place trailer, so if it's ok with Brad, somebody could use it. I really wish I could go, especially since I missed Homecoming, but unemployment makes it hard to pay bills, let alone take trips. | ||

Lou, no problem on the trailer. I just wish I had something to pull it! Haven't selected a new vehicle yet. I plan on going as of now. Not sure what Sunday will bring, I'm just getting over the crud, still not 100% and seem to be getting the chest crap back again. Weather looks a bit iffy for Sunday but clears as you progress further into WI. A good meeting place is on Radio Drive in Woodbury. If you go south of 94 a few blocks, there is a Holiday station with a good parking lot. I've met up there a number of times with others. A stop of Osseo WI would also work but grouping up a bit earlier would be nice. Brad | ||

For homecoming 2 years ago, the host hotel was the Brookfield Sheraton. It's about 1.5 miles north of Hals on S Moorland Road. Very close and easy access. Not sure of rates yet. | ||

Dan, we're hauling and I think we're leaving St.Cloud 9 ish. We'll be in a gray crew cab dodge with a small enclosed trailer. I hate traveling and there's no way I'm ridding the blast that far. The seat sucks on that thing, but I new that when I put it on. Anybody doing anything sun. night? You know, if folks wanted to split gas I've got a beater pickup that'd do fine pulling a two place trailer. I decided today, after riding home from work in sub-40 temps dry, that I'll at least be loading the Uly up in the bed for the first leg down to the Cities. Like I said, it's not much of a rig--paid 217 bucks for it--and there's barely room for three people, but it'd do the job Anyway, just throwing it out there. | ||

The weather is turning to crap.  Guys, I hate to be a party pooper but if this weather forcast doesnt change, Im gonna haul. I have a crew cab that seats 6 but 4 comfortably. If we all chip in a few bucks it wont cost much at all. Anybody is welcome. Lou, if we can use the trailer you have I will pay your part in fuel to get you there. Thanks Dave, but we've got family up today, otherwise I'd be on the road tonight. 612 I guess at this point I'll bed it until the metro and play it by ear from there. I haven't given much though 867 to when I'm heading back, but if you're gonna trailer it and come back Monday night, then I might take you 6782 up on you offer Mike. Otherwise I'll plan to ditch the truck at your place Dennis. If you can't find a trailer, I've got one I can borrow that'll fit two bikes, albeit pretty snugly. I'm all for leaving earlier and getting there in time for some shenanigans. My schedule's wide open, so just let me know when and where and what the plan. This is a tough call for me. I'm still not 100%, still coughing and stuff. No temp but still not 100%. Since I missed 3 days last week, I don't think I should risk relapsing by tooling down the road at 70mph on a damp, cold day, then doing the same tomorrow. I'm really bummed about this.. Home safe + sound.Can't say the same for the forest rat I struck last night.Dave said it went ass over ears into the ditch. We got a room in Baraboo and woke up to 29 degrees.Beautiful 2 lane ride home on the twistiest roads I knew.I think Dave was impressed.I hope everyone made it back on time.Great to meet and ride w/ you guys and hope we can do it again.
