Ras, that is an INCREDIBLE part of our region. You MUST go there...it's "mountainous" in comparison to the southern MD ride we did. I'm out of town for the weekend, so I can't do it this time, but any other weekend and I'm there. I'll be happy to lead a road/dirt road tour from Frederick anytime anyone is interested. Let's keep building the club here! Weekly rides do it. |

We can meet @ HD of Fredrick for the second leg. We should be there between 10 - 1030. After going through some of those roads yesterday in my cage, the 2nd half pace will be "chill" or cruiser speed. Totally exploratory, the scenery is fantastic. |

Hooper's Island is nice and the Old Salty's is really good. Oxford Ferry and the Black Water wild life park is nice. Last time I went there we had a heavy rain the day before and some of the road was covered with clear water so you could see the double yellow line a foot below. We had one idiot though who kept on wanting to stop in the middle of the water and we had to ride our clutches or put our foot down. Finally we rode around him the Uly made a pretty good splash onto his car I heard him yell as I was going past |

In the back of an old pickup truck with Delaware tags. The owner , when asked by Paul if he was Fischer said, "yes" . Personally, I think he was full of you know what. When I asked him about Pocomoke City he looked at me like I had two heads and when Paul asked him if the factory was open for a tour he snapped, "no". You've met him, Lars. What's Fischer look like? age? children?? |

Ratbuell works at Buell of Frederick - you could PM him, or post a thread on the Big Bad and Dirty forum, where he is a regular lurker. |

Hey, Squirett, I believe that Baltimore HD/Buell is the only dealer in this area that does the MVP program. At least that's what they told me when I joined the program. |

Well, according to Lar's description of the Fisher guy, I think maybe it was him. Had a boy with him, about 9. I think he was a little freaked out when he came back to his truck and saw me, Paul, and Rick hovering like vultures around his truck and bike in the back. His answers to our questions did not add up, though. If you look at Rick's (Ferris vb) picture of the old gun range above, that is where the Fisher bike was. It was across the street from the range near the bridge over the track. |

Great pictures, mine are over HERE For those that did not go this year, make plans for next year. This race will probably become the biggest AMA race every year and will get better and better. The place is still under construction but they learned a lot this year, some more PA speakers, some jumbotrons like VIR and some more SHOWERS for the campers and the place will kick every other events ass. One hint for next year, don't follow everybody through Millville after the races take Buckshuten road West to Rt 49 at Bridgeton, stay on 49 west, then right on Hook Road right to the Memorial Bridge. No traffic, lots of farm stands to check out and a nice ride through the NJ countryside. (Message edited by José_quiñones on September 11, 2009) |
