Damn Matt! Glad to hear you're ok. I too had a little mishap getting my bike off the truck yesterday. I forgot to leave the truck mat at the house, so as I was backing the bike down the board, I put on the front brake to slow the decent. It slid on the bed mat, the rear tire rolled off the board, while the front finally gripped the board, at the same time, pulling the board away from the truck bed. Down came the bike all at once, but I held on with all I had. I was gripping the bars, holding the brake, and sticking a leg way out to try and keep the bike from falling over. It felt like an eternity, just standing there on one leg trying to keep the bike upright. FINALLY I gained control and got the bike on the sidestand without dropping it. I did the quick look-around to see who saw my comic landing. I'm sure whomever did see me peed their pants laughing. It HAD to be a funny sight. Charlie, I hope you're feeling better! Seems like that bug is making the rounds pretty quickly. |

Sure is good to see you standing beside the bike this time, rather than it upside down, and you lying between two trees! |

Matt, Glad your o.k, I know somebody that got a salvaged Uly. Give me your parts list and I'll if has has it. Btw, Cycle Gear only had the light weight end sliders, think they wanted 15-20 bucks. Charlie's got the stomach bug? Hope passes quickly. Nic's had it friday night while we were camping, Shelley's was sunday but she kept getting sick -dry heaving so bad to where I took here to the ER. they gave her nausea medicine and a pat on the back. The bug got me yesterday around 4am, nice was to wake up, lol! Lasted until late-afternoon. BTW, Eastside med' said they had over 75 people with the "Stomach Bug" within 2 days and Gwinnett Med. That's a lot of sick people...... |

I had to fill the brake fluid reservoir. Could be clutch issues. The brake and clutch share the reservoir. |

Could be clutch issues. I thought that too...Except that when you are parked and you push on the brake, it s l o w l y eases to the floor and a little puddle happens on the ground right around the left rear door. I did discover, however, that you can drive from Fargo ND to Eau Claire Wi without using the brakes even once!! You want to avoid rush hour in Minneapolis though. |

Don't know if it's eggzackly legal to post this, so if I'm in the wrong, someone remove it and I'm sorry(Sorry I got caught). The new Buell stickers are out and if you want one, go to www.buell.com/badge and they'll send you one. The redemption code on mine was, BOB34 Got this info off the back of the new sticker I scored at the Buell factory. See below.

Well my bike is ••••••• Won't shift out of 2nd. Guess BTF is OUT That sucks! I think there is an emergency meeting at the Buell Barn to get your bike ready for BTF. You have to be there! |

Sorry to hear that Glitch, how many miles were you up to? When my bike was new, 50k miles then a case split sounded pretty reasonable. Now, after 30k of absolutely flawless miles, I'm getting spoiled. On the up side, it sounds like an XB case split might not be the level of rocket science I thought it was... I did it on a 2 stroke, and it took a lot of time and prep, but was very doable. Let us know how it goes... |

I think there is an emergency meeting at the Buell Barn to get your bike ready for BTF. No amount of Barn will help with me being as broke as I am. I simply haven't any money. Reep, I'm at about 65thousand. Not scared of splitting the case really. I just haven't got anyway to replace anything that may need to be replaced. I was doing good to be able to afford to just go, and this is just the icing on the cake. You have to be there! It won't be any fun at all without my bike. Bring your bike to the Buell Barn. We'll tear it down this weekend, order parts, and put it back together next weekend. I have plans Saturday, but I can hang out all day Sunday. |

Glitch, you can be there. Stop by here and pick one to ride. Connie's probably not riding, so I've got an SV650, KLR, CB750 and the Buell. Not to mention the scooter with the roof. Ride my KLR up there and I'll have both bikes I'll want to ride, cause I can't ride two at the same time. Gimme a call, dude. |

> I just haven't got anyway to replace anything that may need to be replaced. Think positive. Maybe we'll get the clutch off and find it's something easy like a broken spring on a pawl that won't even require us to split the cases. > It won't be any fun at all without my bike. Bah. We've got your back. It would only be an afternoon's work to get my gixxer back to street legal. If Ann wants to ride too, you can take my Ulysses, and I'll ride the Suzuki. |

Think positive. Maybe we'll get the clutch off and find it's something easy This past weekend I was texting Sanchez and Carlos talked to Charlie about an issue he was having with the Uly. He was afraid it was the clutch going, but after a service and adjustment, the Uly is back up to par. We were a little worried, but it all worked out. Buell Barn helpers to the rescue long distance! |

Y'ALL ARE THE BEST! Sorry to be so negative. Ann's been calling me a negative-nilly lately. Can't say as I blame her either. I guess things have never been this bad this long before. I adjusted the cable, and got it to shift. It's not shifting well though. I guess after a service all well be well. I certainly hope so. I guess I was so edgy because Charlie and I had taken a couple of weeks to figure out the EPROM we were loading was corrupt. For a while there I just thought the bike was falling apart. So now I guess I'm a little paranoid, plus all these half-days and days-off are driving me insane. PS - you have great friends! I'm not sure what I did to deserve all the support y'all are offering. I will say it's most appreciated, and y'all aren't taken for granted. I really hate being in the situation I'm in and the offers y'all have given and the support from Charlie has meant more to me than I'm able to say. I will say however, and mean it, y'all are the best. I'm all mushy now, and need to HTFU, but, thanks again! Y'ALL ROCK! Bring your bike to the Buell Barn. My bike has been there so much lately, I think maybe spending more time there than Charlie's Uly! I can make it any time. I'll give Charlie a call this evening and see what he's got going on. Even if all I need is a service, it may be time, I'm not real sure as the speedo quit again, and started again. The engine oil is still really clean (does the oil ever get black?), so I'll just do the primary. Speaking of a Buell Barn Day, y'all realize it's September, and we're due for the September B-day Party? I think we have more people having b-days in September than any other month. |

We can eek out a Buell barn day but I need to have a Barn cleaning day first. Glitch, I forgot to tell ya while I was riding your bike it was not shifting right while using the clutch, downshifts were flawless but upshifts just plain sucked. I was just happy it was running. We should surely try an oil change, primary adjustment, clutch and cable adjustment and inspection to start. If it dont work take my Uly, I will ride Dans KLR or Sanchez's Gixxer. Although the gixxer may be impounded by the time I am done LOL |

> we're due for the September B-day Party? I vote Saturday the 19th at Charlie's place or Dave's. I should have the clutch cable for the DR and the brake lever for the 50 by then. |
