Hey Jim, Welcome to the DC area and our local forum. You should have gone with us today from Ft. Washington HD/no longer Buell. We had a great ride thru southern MD counties and ended over at North Beach (on the bay) for lunch. Keep looking here for event info. We have a monthly meeting every first Sat. at 1000 at Ft. Wash. We then usually do a ride. | ||

Hey JJR...welcome to town, especially as the weather turns nice around here. You've got to take advantage of some of the great roads in the area. Let us know where you want to go first (MD, VA, mountains, farms, DC city rides, etc.), and we'll start rattling off the route numbers. For those planning to group ride up to the debut New Jersey Superbike Championship Weekend on Sunday, Sept. 6th we need to formulate a plan. It's two weekends away. The gates open at 7am, however, racing wont start til later. The ride will take about 2.5 hours from Baltimore HD. I'm guessing we should leave Balto HD sometime between 7am and 9am. If anyone is coming from the north we could stop at one of the many exits off of I-95. What time should we meet up??? http://www.njmp.com/ama.html | ||

Thanks for the welcome guys. If my math is correct your next meeting is September 5th? Unfortunately, I am scheduled to go to Ohio over the long weekend. The wife has a list for me to take care of! I love riding the mountains and hills. Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge are great. South-western Virginia is just a gorgous place to ride. I'll keep checking the board and hope to ride with you soon. What time are you thinking? I'm up for a little ride out in WV this weekend, but not too early in the morning, I'll still be coming off night shift on Saturday morning. I'm back from Colorado I rode 4,000 miles on the Uly, I have over 18,000 miles on it now. Don't know where on Bad web I'll be posting the pictures or story of riding yet. Route 50 going out west was awesome The road was not rushed like an interstate and had a good mix of twisties, divided highway and 2 lane country road. Cool places to visit and small American towns to go thru. Some of the cool places I went was Dodge City, Tall grass Prarie, Bent's Old Fort, Jefferson City, Mo Capital bldg, Keystone, Colorado where the conference was, Veil Colorado for lunch, Loveland Pass, The AMA museum in Ohio. Fairplay Colorado for all of you South Park fans, DIRT BIKE SCHOOL in Colorado. I've got about 500 pictures to sort thru. What a ride it was! K | ||

Yeah that was me  Supafast was there too I'm posting the Colorado trip with Pictures under the Tail Section tread its near the top right now 2 girls Uly and Harley riding to Colorado from maryland. Check it out It will take me 3 days to get some of the best shots up depending on how dedicated I am to it. | ||

Got one person coming from Laurel, I've been noticing a lot of twisty type roads around Gambrill State park/Ft. Detrick area I want to explore. The only organized part of this is the meet and 1st half of the ride out to Gambrill's. Meet: - Rt. 32 & 70 Park n Ride. Time: Early, TBD Route(s): westbound route, RAS's New Market/Frederick twisty tour, then on to unknown territory West of Frederick. A few of you have done the 1st half. 2nd half, unexplored territory. Pace: TBD by participants (those who actually show). | ||
