What did you pick up Ninja? Mesh, synthetic/textile, or good old leather in time for the fall season? I'm curious since I'm looking at getting a nice leather jacket for the fall season myself, rather then layering my mesh jacket. |

Fellow Cobra Members! Due to the overwhelming amount of Ohioans at the West Virginia Buell Rally, I've decided to plan and lead a group ride through the best roads in east Ohio. I've already made a rough draft of the loop, and will be perfecting it after a few test rides over the next couple weeks. The loop will most likely start/end in Newark, due to it's fairly central location while being right on the edge of the hills. I'm hoping to do about 200 miles. My question for you all... I know it is generally impossible to find a day when EVERYONE is free, but I want to make sure I'm not planning over another event/race/whatever. I was looking at Sunday September 20th. With another option being Sunday October 11th. Thoughts??? |

Sounds like fun! I'm up for it and vote for September 20. Since I'll be gone from the family all day October 10 to take the sportsbike class, I shouldn't/wouldn't be able to take off riding the next day too. |

Sounds like a good plan to me..... the bad news is.... I will be teaching or working. I don't have a weekend open until November... But, I may drop a class to go to Buelltoberfest... |

1 XL. Might go for a second shirt eventually. I got a textile mesh jacket that has both a thermal liner and a rain liner that can both be removed. It is a Vega jacket, about $119 at Iron Pony. Holding off on leather for now as it is a little pricier and my Boss/Wife keeps me on a budget. |

Fixin' to update COBRA to major club status. Had done so Saturday, but the changes were wiped out by the server crash. So here's a heads up. Look for COBRA up top in the Storm Fronts list in a few minutes. Thanks for being so patient. Blake |

Courtesy WFR... Logo is in work, still working to get a decent transparent background (green part). The icon (small image in forum title) is still in work too.
Wolf, the small image you provided is still too large. We need 28 or less pixels in height. |

Blake - This is what I have on hand. It's a GIF file sized within your parameters (46x28). However, it's not transparent as I don't have any editing software here at my office. If you can convert it to a transparent background great. If not, then I can do that at home and send you another copy.

Just got word back that Farrows will NOT be doing any Harley or Buell demo's this year. Bummer! I was hoping to take the XR1200 out for a spin. |

Mark, Thank you to you and your family for a fantastic Rally weekend! I'm still working on getting the few pictures I have posted. Obviously, from the pictures already posted, we have many "next top models" amongst us! LOL Also, will you bring a few extra COBRA shirts to the next meeting? Medium?? Thanks! |

I'm looking to add a stabilizer (either the GPR or Ohlins) to my 1125R. Anyone in the group added one yet? I'm tryin' to get some opinion prior to dropping 5 bills. Thanks. |

I would go with the GPR. I trashed my LSL when crashed. With the GPR setting on top of the bike... I think it would be safe... plus it looks cool. |

Member Info If everyone on the forum could take a look at the COBRA members page (http://www.cobrabuell.com/members/) and verify that their information is correct, I'd appreciate it. We're missing a few city locations for people and a whole bunch of forum handles. So if you're on here but your forum handle isn't on the member page, please shoot me an email letting me know. Also, if you have any pics you want associated with your name on the members page email those to me too and I'll get you hooked up. Thanks everyone! And while I'm on the topic of member info, we have a... New Member! Please welcome Russell Fu to the club! He brings a new 2009 1125R to the herd. He found the club when someone (Mark?) left a COBRA card on his bike. The cards work and I'll have a bunch to pass out at the next meeting (yes, I'll actually be at the next one after missing the past couple months, I promise!) Welcome Russell! |
