Australia's first unofficial BRAG group met at Blacktown Harley Davidson and Buell, 21 March 2004 After 14 months of toil, we have finaly got all together for a picture. Submissions are being forwarded to Buell USA regarding official recognition to become Australia's first BRAG group. Buelling Bob will be going to the Bringing It Home event in Milwaukee in June and be meeting members of the Buell Motorcycle Company to further our cause. A big thankyou goes out to Tom Brown of Blacktown Harley Davidson and Buell for agreeing to be our sponsor dealership. http://groups.msn.com/BuellinOz/_whatsnew.msnw

If you need any help, please let me know. I've taken MANY folks from Oz on tours of the Buell factory and have been involved in Oz Buellin' for years. I'd be pleased to provide any help or direction I can. It's great to see the momentum. ride safe, lean much, smile more, Court |

Court Thankyou for your kind offer. I'll take you up on that. We have a responce from Mary Baszynski attached below, as well as Bob's original request for information etc. Not confidence inspireing, and nowhere near enough to make us give up, but I feel Mary may not be the best person to ask such things. She is the only contact we have in Buell at the moment. Buelling Bob will be at the "Bringing It Home" event in Milwaukee in June and hopefully he will get the ear of someone who can help us in our cause and can move this along for us. All at the meeting are joining BRAG so our aplication is not coming from a bunch of nobodies from nowhere. If you will be at the June event, I think it important that Bob meet you. A more passionate Buell owner I have never met. I have sent emails to the NZ mob with no replies. Do you have a current contact email addy? Robert: Right now BRAG is only available in the US and Canada. Currently there are no plans on expanding to other countries, but it may happen in the future. We can talk in May. Mary Baszynski. Mary. Is there any way I could have sent to me the paper work on starting up of BRAG in Australia. As we Buell riders are now trying to start up a BRAG group, we have the interest, and have sort the interest of a dealer in Sydney for his support , but we need to know what involved and what the dealers involvement will be. I have the task of trying and find out whats what. So can I have an info kit sent to me. Yours. Robert Mackie Buell owner Brag member From Australia. PS. I will be over there on the 31 of May hope to see you. MadGaz

Spose I should let you all know what the clan are up to lately Things have gone a bit quiet with the onset of the colder weather The monthly BBQ's are on hold for a bit while Bob goes off to the Bringing it home celebrations for Buell's 21st birthday in June. And I will be doing a tag with Bob on his return and going over state side for a month in mid June. Hopefully the rides and BBQ's will begin again in earnest in August on my return. Thats still no excuse for other members not to get together for a ride. *HINT* I am working on cards for all members to hand to other Buellers in Oz to give to others that have been converted to the breed and introduce them to Buell in Oz and our effort to get the Buell factory to support BRAG in Australia. The more we have that are committed the better our chances of achieving our goal. The meetings we have had have raised a few items that need everyone’s input and those being; a name for the BRAG chapter. Tom suggested "Sydney City BRAG" I like to add a bit of Australiana to keep us colorfully distinct from all others with “Aus BIG NOTERS” ("big note" being slang Aussie for brag) Other names are needed so we can collect them all and take a vote from all members what we choose. So democratic. There’s still plenty of time as BRAG is still 18 months - 2 years away yet. A logo design that will be used as a patch, badge and on the groups web group site. Not being a graphic designer, or a very good sketch artist, I haven’t experimented with this as yet. But would preffer a uniquley Aussie design. If you are Sydney based or not, get your grey matter working, come up with ideas and we can discuss these at the next Shed BBQ. If you havn't been to one of the shed BBQ's (Neka, get ya finger out mate) its a great night of food and drinks, laughs etc. One final note, any ideas for events, rides, what you would like to see as a benefit of being a BRAG member in Australia should be. Drop your idea here and we can present to BRAG as they are a little lost figuring what an Aussie motorcyclist needs or wants. We have the opportunity now before BRAG gets here to submit ideas. Keep the faith, BRAG is coming, no doubt about it. MadGaz (BlackX1) edited by madgaz on May 27, 2004 |

Hi guys, Just stumbled across the Sydney Aus room. I'm actually in Numurkah, northern Vic. Not many Buellers around here to share the enthusiasm with so it's good to catch ya's. Great to see you're having a go at getting a BRAG chapter off the ground here. I'd love to be a part of that. I'm still finding my way around this site-not really sure how it all works so I'll be having a look in here and there to see if there is any more entries. Talk to you then. feel the noise stroka

Anyone interested in coming to the United states for a tour, in exchange I would like to go to Australia for a tour. I have an extra bike and a place to stay. This could be a very inexpensive way to tour the USA. I live about 70 miles from the Buell factory. If interested contact me at erlin3@aol.com |

Australia has conducted its first national Buell event called Buellfest and held at Port Maquarie on the N.S.W.Northern coast. By all accounts a great time was had by the faithfull that attended. The roads were great and the weather perfect. Lets hope this is the first of a national, annual Buell event for all Australians. MadGaz |
