Loni, Kim, give an update please on the weekend races. I dropped the XB10.5R off at Columbia in Vancouver tonite. Jim has it. He really seemed to know what he was talking about. It was great to see he rides a XB9S that's all scratched up. There's a real Buell mechanic. Anybody interested in the Best Blast Ever Built, go to Loraine's website, BCrider.com |

Shotgun - Cody will be "practice racing" in McMinnville this Saturday and Sunday. We are taking the trailer Friday night and heading over and will be there all weekend. It starts at 10am Saturday and ends at dusk and on Sunday it starts at 9am til approx 3pm. The address is: 2070 Ne Lafayette Ave, McMinnville OR 97128. If anyone is out riding in that area or wants to come on out and support Cody and his cousin Nick (Nick was here at the house last weekend as well - he is 14 yrs old and will be racing Cody's back up bike this season) that would be cool. I think Bob & Deb are going to try and make it down as well? |

Well now that I have recovered from a bad bout of stomach flu, it's time to post my gratitude for an awesome weekend with great friends. Thanks are due to Mike, Kimberlie and the kids for an awesome Saturday evening BBQ and fantastic social. Sure was a lot of fun seeing everyone again. SPLASH and Border Raid are so far apart. Good beer, great food and awesome people, what more is there in life? Great rides, that’s what!!! Double thanks for the coveted SPLASH 2003 T-shirt. I’ll wear it with honor, and pride. Any plans to make T-shirts available for SPLASH 2004? If so put me down for one, size large, now! The rider formerly known as SportyEric took delivery of his first Buell from FiremanJim. But you already know that. Pictures to be posted soon. It sure is a sweet ride too. Can’t wait to get TboltEric out for a ride on the Buells soon. Thanks Chris and Loni for a great breakfast to warm our souls on the drive back to Vancouver. Some of you may have noticed me moving a little slower on Sunday morning, and considering the copious quantities of fine Oregon microbrew consumed, I had expected it too. Harv and Eric will also confirm that I spent the better part of the return trip either sleeping in the back of the truck or complaining of this ache or that ache, but I’m pleased to report that the puking didn’t start until I got home. No I didn’t drink till I puked, it was the stomach flu. So if anyone is feeling under the weather, I’m sorry. The good news…. it only lasts about 48 hours. Cheers FunJimmy

Shotgun, We are also going out to the track Friday night. Just talked to Bob and they are also going Friday night. If you can come out Sat or Sun please do! Chris will be racing his bike also. Got to get and pack some more. Loni PS Rode to work today, cold in the morning but the sight of the sun rising over Mt. Hood was worth it. |

Hope to get to McMinnville Sunday. Saturday belongs to Mary who has promised me a birthday surprise. I turn 55. Who knows, maybe I'll get lucky? |

Hello all, I got my tank, tail and chin fairing back the other day from the painter, and Yes it is black. It look pretty good, cant expect much for $130 though. My back is doing ok I guess, need to start physical therapy here soon. I hope that does the trick, cause if not I will be living on vicoden and muscle relaxers.. Anyways sorry to have missed the event, but I did lay on the couch with a heating pad and watched the races....I really was hoping one of the bostrom brothers was going to win, or at least that duhamel would have gotten his 5th...but oh well..was an exciting race all the way down to the end which is always good. Shotgun, you still looking to sell the M2 also ? I still would like to check it out...

Roc, Jim at Columbia Harley-Buell has the XB. I dropped it off Weds. He didn't know for sure when he could get at it. I was glad to see he rides a XB too. Sounded like he knew what he was talking about. S1Hooliman, sorry your healing is going slow. Listen to the doctors, man. M2 sale is on hold for now til I get the XB running right. Then I might be pursuaded to part with it. Not sure why, though. I love that bike. But with the right bike, maybe a guy only needs one? Take it for a ride when you're feeling better. Bring your boy out to McMinnville this weekend to see Cody ride in the pocketbike races. Start em young. |

Wow it sure has been quiet on the board this weekend. Guess all the posters were at the races in McMinnville. Here are a few pics for those who missed it. Our own Chris Taylor was off to a quick start and led the race for the first few laps. But the power of the two strokes could not be held off for long. Or maybe it has something to do with dragging your toe in the corner rather than your knee. The crowd was crazy with excitement during the races. I managed to get a shot of Bob in his new fur coat and Deb just looking stunned. Then the highlight of the afternoon, the wildman Cody took the track. Here is a shot of Cody and Nick fighting for the turn. But no one, and I mean no one, could keep pace with Cody. Damn that kid was fast out there, and I only know he’s going to get faster. Here is a shot of Cody making the final turn towards the checkered flag. It was great to see everyone this weekend. Hope we do it again real soon. edited by spudman on March 14, 2004 |

I'm on it, Jim, thanks. Actually, I don't think I need the speedo, just some stick ons to pass spec. I will check out the manual, though. You were right. And is a TC-100 a dirt bike? I wish you'd get your shit together and just sell me all your bikes at once. |

Spudster, Your wrong on the fur coat. That was last year's fur coat. Your fashion sense is so last fall. Did you notice the red choker I was wearing! Mmmmmm, I aquired the fur after wrestling a pack of wild ding ding minks after being shot down over poontang in 69. I'd go into it more but the whole thing has left me with a life time of painfull memories. uh........I can't go on....... Bob "snif" |
