Hey Paul, Thanks for leading the ride again today. You truly are rivaling Jose with the extensive knowledge of Southern MD hidden, twisty roads. I live down here and I don't even know where we were on some of the roads. We have a ton of great rides here Dan....You should ride with us. Lars...Sorry to hear about your flip-flop blowout and resulting injury. Hope you are riding again real soon. Wish I could have stayed and finished the marathon ride, but I went to the pool at Doubletree in Annapolis and got to see an amateur bikini contest. (covertly, of course) Great day, great rides! |

For the races, we're going to both VIR and NJ. Riding to NJ, probably driving to VIR. My experience so far is that it takes just as long to get to NJMP than to VIR from NOVA due to the I-95 traffic. |

Can you post the route for the SOMD ride? I was thinking about trying to join you guys for the ride but after 400+miles from Skyline and back, it just wasn't in me. (Message edited by crackhead on July 21, 2009) |

Wera National Endurance Series RACE SUMMIT POINT AUG 1st: Race starts at 11:00am. 6hr race...should be a great time. I think there will be a group ride starting from Old Glory on Saturday morning if you would like. As far as I know, we are the only Buell racing in the 6hr race...so please come out and show your Buell Pride! Point of Rocks is a good destination, especially if you cross the Potomac, turn right, and zig-zag through VA. I'd join/help lead this ride in the future! |

I saw to Buells today, 1 in Harpers Ferry Silver M1? and a lightning in sharpsburg. Started out with a pretty big group, ended with 20some. Only two riders went down (nothing serious) 1 bike needed a tow - Noob on a 250 nija. Fortunately no serious injuries, would've ridden the 250 home, but couldn't get it to shift past neutral.

Ras the little 250 was it a young female? I just had a young lady on a 250 green ninja in my last Total control class |

Nah, young dude on a black Ninja. He did the MSF course. Target fixated on a ditch - he headed right for it coming out of a turn. He had about 450mi experience. We ended up splitting into two groups, the tame, and I led the smaller "ride at your own risk group". It's been a long time since I ride like that on public roads, but it was so much fun. I'm really feeling it today. We had a female rider on a red 250 (Suzuki I think) that was leaving dudes on their 600s in the dust. (Message edited by rasmonis on August 02, 2009) |

I totally came off of the bikes this weekend and went fishing at some of the watersheds in Maryland very relaxing weekend. Hidden motive as I was going to Rocky Gorge and Tridelphia the roads are really nice around both I have a feeling if the weather is good next Saturday I'm going to be riding them |

Everett - if you have the Icon Hi-Vis MilSpec gear, it's accepted. At least, it is here at Detrick. The black mil-spec is just a durability 'specification' and doesn't cover the hi-vis requirements for riding on post, even though it has reflective camo on it. |

Actually, they're not very picky @ Ft. Detrick @ all. I've ridden on post without a jacket (OMG!) or reflective gear without a problem. . Not recommended while wearing a tie (the wind practically destroyed it). BTW, A jacket with reflective pipping counts as reflective gear That's not necessarily the case at other installations. It all depends on the Provost Marshall and Post/Base CO. If I were to guess, AFBs are more restrictive than Army posts. At Cape Canaveral for example you can't get past the gate without full gear (jacket, helmet, gloves, boots) and a reflective vest. (Message edited by Rasmonis on August 04, 2009) |

Ride this Sunday, around the typical and not so typical Frederick and surrounding area roads. I led a short portion of a ride last Sat for the .com crowd and was asked to do a ride this weekend. Buell tearin' it up through the twisties. Can someone from OGHD ask Robbie if he can come out and play? He's off on Sundays I think. We'll stop for lunch at my house (BBQ) then continue. Still working on it. Who's in? Need more Buells in the group. |
