Hope your ride went well today. Between the rain and my worn tire I wasn't comfortable attempting a long ride.

I did buy a set of tires today and should have it here in a few days. It's a set of Michelin Pilot Sport HPX (120/190).
Will see how they work.

They run about $330/set new and I got a set of take offs for $80 with very little visible wear to the rear tire. Front looked decent but might just leave my pilot power on the front.

The ride was Dave and The Birds.
Drizzly up to Mt Hood but beautiful to Maupin.
You guys weren't kidding about the potholes big enough to eat a bike. I was keeping my eyes peeled for them.
Just a little spritz on the way back thru Estacada.

Great ride and Dave was an excellent ride captain.

DaBirds were real troopers for the am mist. When we turned the corner for White River, the sun glowed down upon us and Mt. Hood. Good ride to Tygh Valley/Shearers Bridge/Maupin. 216 to 26 to Skyline rd. down to 58 and out at Ripplebrook RS. Nice day in all.

what schedule fits for you guys to ride to crater lake. some want to 3 day on 14-16. we got track day on 17. i would like to go on 23-24.

It felt like a solid block of machine without the motor thrashing around like the XB.

"RR" is a single purpose built machine for Taylor Knapp to contest against the superbikes. Watch the race @ Mid Ohio this sunday. Next week Mr. Latus will get the new model introductions.

Also as far as the Crater Lake ride. Please post up details about what it is we are reserving etc so we can make a better decision on what is going on. Some may need to tent due to costs.

I need to pre-ride to gather exact info. At this time lodging near C.L. is est. $70 a night capacity of 4. There is a campground nearby, but i don't have that info yet.

Not sure on the Crater Lake run- field projects are getting really busy this time of year - I will know by middle of next week if I was able to get some of my tax dollars back with a "stimulus" job in UT (not as fun as it sounds!).
