I'm back. I did a solo ride up the crest on Monday. Surprisingly chilly up there for June. I also went south on old 14 a bit from Tijeras. I think I need new tires. On the schedule, I think we should pick a few of the days that Nick proposed and go with them. I don't care where we go and I'm not sure how many I'll be able to make. Between my work schedule and my marathon training, I'm a busy mofo. That's why I haven't put out any kind of schedule. I've put a pathetically low number of miles on my bike in the past year and this summer isn't looking any better. My days off are being jacked up, too. I don't care if we do a name change. I'm up for participating when I can, but can't be herding any cats. I just don't have time. Bart, whenever you get thru these parts, gimme a call. I'll try to break free and maybe we can fit a ride in. Cheers! CJR |

HPR was fantastic!!! I dropped 11 seconds off my lap times from the last time I was there. Thanks to Shane Turpin's help, he made some changes to my bike set up and suspension and worked with Edda and I on our body positioning. He rocks! He also races an 1125r, and he wins with it!!! As usually I got spanked in the NGTU and NGTO, I was like 31st and 29th, at least I was dead last. I did get 5th in the Ladies of the Rockies. It was a decent sized grid this time too. The weather was great Friday, Sat. and most of Sunday, but about 2pm it turned nasty. We had tornado watches all around us. I booked it outta there and headed to Limon then south to CO springs. I managed to miss all of the storm. I just hit bad winds, so the truck was getting crap gas mileage. I heard that there was a funnel cloud that touched down on hwy36 east of Byers, about 10 mins after I was headed out. I'm really glad that I went the other way and that I missed it. I've got the 19th & 26th off if anyone wants to ride those Fridays. Anyone here going to R2SL (Racing to Save Lives) at Miller? It is over 4th of July weekend. I'm going, and it looks like I might be part of an all girl team for the 4 hour endurance race that weekend. Anyone willing to sponsor me??? http://www.racing2savelives.org/pledge.php?a=51&b= Kimberly&c=Prichard I need to collect about $500 to enter the race. |

If I had some extra cash I might help out. Also I don't know why I didn't post this sooner; This saturday (the 13th) the NM Police and Sheriff's Asso. is doing a poker ride to Santa Fe and back starting at thunderbird HD. It's 25 dollars to get in on the prizes, there is also going to be live music and BBQ. the thing starts at 0800, last bike out by 1030. I was planing on getting there around 0830. I know for a fact there is a fark load of swag. Could be fun. I will be there, if any of Y'all want to ride with my slow ass I can go when you want to. (Message edited by daschunk on June 11, 2009) |

If you're going on a poker run, you won't be the slow one. Watch out for the swerving Harleys. |

Daschunk, it was nice meeting you at Santa Fe HD/Buell on Saturday.
I hope the annual Taos Buell Rally (or wherever you all decide to have it) does not fall by the way side. If you want any help from the Colorado Buell Riders let us know. Here is the thread that talks about our trip down to Santa Fe. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/6817/468139.html?1245020727 Frank |

It was nice meeting you too Frank. The Poker run was ok, didn't get a good hand so meh. The route was... well it was To SF H-D Buell and and back to thunderchicken so not a whole lot of excitment, aside from meeting Frank the highlight was BBQ and hanging out with the SAPD chief. there really was a fark load of prizes though, if you stayed till about 2 there was something for about every thrid person. |

2 passes to the Buffet at the Santa Ana Casino and 2 games of bowling at the Bowling alley at the same Casino. It was kinda funny though, they called literally every number around mine before mine was pulled. |

Kim, how are you doing with the fundraising for your 4th of july events? While up in Colorado this past weekend for the S2 gathering, we stayed in Lake City. Bruno told me he will be retiring next year, and selling the motel and restaurant. You may want to get up there sometime this summer and get one last taste of his cooking! Check out the S2 gathering thread for pics of the trip. We had deer right outside our doors the morning we woke up in Lake City. 6 days, 1800 miles, we had a great time! |

He says his work schedule might be shifting back to Monday thru Friday, so he's not sure yet. He's going to call back. Meanwhile, Murrae and Mabel might go. Mark Ching is not able to go. I think Luis and I scared him off after the last one. He said he could taste his heartbeat. I wasn't even going that hard. I had jeans on. |

Well... If you're in Taos, I guess we can meet you there or you can meet us on the road someplace. Ed: Will you already be in Red River or are you going to ride up on Monday? My plan is to meet up with any Santa Fe folks at around 0900 in SF, probably close to Luis' house at Cerillos and St. Francis. Murrae lives near there too. Then, ride the high road up to Taos and then on to Red River. That ought to be about lunch time when we get there, so lunch there, come down to Eagle's Nest and Angel Fire, Black Lake, Mora, and back to the high road. Maybe even cut over thru Dixon back to the low road since they had that amazing new asphalt. Shane: Feel free to meet us anywhere along the way or let me know where to meet you in Taos. |

Looks like I am not going to spend the weekend in Red River, so I can meet you at your house say 0800 or a little before. |

Plaza? I'm not entirely sure I can find that. How about the Chevron on the corner of US64 and whatever that main street is coming into Taos from the south? NM68? I figure it'll be 1045 or 1100. |

Hi from CO... I still outta town on vacation. The Racing 2 Save Lives event was great. We didn't get enough entries to run the endurance race. I did get in a lot of time on the track. I got to work with the Yamaha Champions riding school for two days. Shane and Mark are great. I also did a two up ride with Shane. It took me about 2 laps to not freak out at his corner speeds.... I had been planning on racing at Pikes Peak International raceway this weekend with MRA, but that race has been canceled. So I'm just hanging out in Denver. Monday and Tuesday we got the Star school we are doing at HPR. Then Home to NM. Hope you all had a great weekend. |
