Yes we do Julie. I am heading to NM on Friday for a company outing. I have not decided on what bike to take but it will either be the Uly or the S2T. Life should be filled with decisions like that. |

Julie, are you and Dan camping for the Ladies event in Aug? Lynn and I would like to go but she can only attend for two days. I think we may camp and if you are camping we will try to get into the same place. Frank |

Welcome home Frank! I had another rained out weekend and didn't get out much. Got Loretta out for a spin up to Berthoud to see a friend. No twisties, but Damn! Colorado is GREEN. Had to test my new tune - set my AFVs to 96, a bump up from the 94.5 I set them at a week or two back. She is now smooth as butter for the first time since I got back from Homecoming. Never should have done the 03Z flash to the ECM last Fall... I go in to work in a few hours, I'll let y'all know Julie. Z |

Thanks Zack. Talk about the AFV. Dan did some "adjustments" to my bike before our ride last weekend. When he checked the AFV when we got home it was 99. The bike rode awesome. He's always doing some tweeking on my bike |

I wish Kim!! It's just bad timing for us plus I don't like traveling during holidays. We're heading out for our one week bike trip in mid July. Maybe next year! How'd it go at HPR last weekend? |

We had a nice ride today up in the hills. Got home just before the hail . We are looking at Sunday August 2, to have the Buell get together. We'll supply the meats and drinks (no alcohol) so if you'd like to bring a side dish that would be great. Family is invited. As we get closer it would be great for an RSVP just so we know how much food to get |

You know I will be there and would like to help out with the meat and drinks. Let me know (buns plates etc) Lynn and I just returned from Santa Fe and beat the rain all the way home. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/681 7/468139.html?1245020727 |

Glad y'all are back Frank. I rode out on the Plains today; did the route I had mentioned a few weeks ago. Strangest thing, I'm at the intersection of nowhere and BFE resting and taking in the view when a guy on a Buell XB12s shows up! We visited for a few minutes then he had to head North to escape the rain. Me, I chose to ride right into it. It wasn't that heavy and I managed to split the clouds and dodged the storms to the left and right. Stopped in Walsenburg for fuel and food, then headed up 67 to Westcliff. From there I took 96 back home. I need a rear tire really soon! I hope it can last through next weekend. |

Great pictures of your trip Frank. Glad u made it home safe and dry. Our trip in July will be a sightseeing trip with lots of pictures. Hopefully some video too This year will be different as we're going to take the RV as our home base and ride lots of twisties. Will be going over Keebler Pass which I've heard is spectacular. |

Hey Julie...and Dan. I just ordered a rear tire and picked the Conti Road Attack in the 180 width. That is based on your experience with the Race Attack. Dan put the 190 on your bike, though, right? I will still have the Pirelli Scorpion front tire on since it has plenty of tread left. I'm hoping the mixed brands won't misbehave. Hopefully I can get the tire mounted by Friday afternoon. |

Hi guys, Jody I hope you like the Conti. We have been very pleased with their tires. John likes them too, huh!!! He's the one that got us to try them. They are great in the rain too. Mixing brands, well...... John, look forward to the August party. Hopefully we'll be able to get together for a ride way before then. Will you guys be riding on Sun? Let me know. It looks like it's suppose to be a beautiful weekend. (Message edited by jumpinjewels on June 17, 2009) |

Too cool, yesterday. I had my head down, looking for a part number. Caught some peripheral movement, looked up and there was Lynn grinning from ear-to-ear. Made my day, great to see the both of you again. Gotta talk to Jeff today and get the pen in the system so I can order it for y'all. Have a Great time with the S-2 gathering, wish I could make it. As long as they don't change my schedule, Lawana and I are in for the August BBQ, Julie. Z |

Rocky Mt. National Park is free this weekend. Now that would be a nice ride up and over trail ridge road. Nice loop. Haven't done it in about 5 years or so. Do not like paying the $25 fee just to drive thru. They are also doing this 2 other times this summer. |

Zac, what can I use to loosen the rear axle of my XB? Frank helped me last time and I know he is busy today. I was thinking I could purchase a large bolt with a head that matches the size of the axle void, then use a pipe wrench on the bolt to turn it. But that method won't let me use my torque wrench to tighten it back later. If it is an item I can pick up at an auto parts store I'll do that when I go to get some anti-seize. |

Hey, thanks Bill, but that is a bit too far with the time I have available. I think I will need to buy one for the next time I need to pull either wheel. I keep meaning to buy the Buell tool set just to get some of those items. I don't remember if the axle wrench is included, though. |

Jody - I'm pretty sure it's 7/8" Get a 7/8(wrench size) bolt and 2 nuts. I'm not sure what the actual "size" is, prob a 7/16 to 9/16 shank. Lock the nuts together, stick one end in the axle, put a socket on the other... voila! I used a screwdriver handle that was a bit big and "tapped" it in the axle with a dead-blow hammer. My axle wrench was inaccessible. Z |

Hi John, We went on to Shadow Mtn to Bear Creek to Winter Gulch then Stagecoach. Saw lots of deer and an elk. Came back Turkey Creek to Deer Creek then home. What a beautiful day. Did 211 miles. It definitely was fun riding with you guys. I feel like I can keep up now (well, for the most part) Have a great week. I'm sure you'll be out during the week since it's suppose to be close to 90 every day. I'm sooo jealous. We need to go grocery shopping now. |

Julie, You have become a really good rider. Since I usually keep it under 100, you will be soon passing me on the straights and maybe even the curves! hope to see ya both soon. when are you doing your july trip. i am hoping to get a group together for a ride to Estes Park then up thru Rocky Mt. park, granby, winter park and back. I want to do it when they have the free admittance days in july and august. both are in the middle weekends of each month. I do not want to pay the $20 to just ride thru the park. what do ya think? |

Hi Ho All, made it back from Beunie and the S2 gathering. Frank said he was getting in an extra night up there. I missed the ride yesterday, but it seems that turned out to be my good fortune, at least for half of that ride. Lots of rain got 'em. The shop that I took my wheel and new tire too called me late yesterday evening to let me know they got it mounted, but I was already back in Buena Vista after taking my truck. I can pick up the wheel and tire on Tuesday and will reinstall it then. Better safe than sorry. |

John, we're leaving on July 11, back probably on July 17. I think a trip to Estes would be nice, and definitely if it's free. I'm with you on the $20, that's steep. Jody, bummer, I thought you would have ridden up to Buena Vista, didn't realize you didn't have any tire on your bike. Well, at least it will be back on on Tues. The weather is suppose to be getting nice now that's it's SUMMER. |
