I will be riding at 6:00 am - 8:00 am to get back home and then do the family thing with my wife and 7 year old... Its hard to be a Dad! No one ever wants to ride with me that early, hence the name lonewolf....I always end up riding alone....been doing it for years now... |

Hi Rasmonis! Okay, I rode from Point of Rocks down 28 and crossed Rt 117 to 355 back up to Frederick, hit 270 the 15 all the way up to old town Leesburg where I had a cup of joe and a cigar and then back 15 to Point of Rocks. Did the family thing with my wife and son and got back home at 4:00PM, ghot on the bike again and went to HD Frederick, said hello to Ratbuell talked to the other Joe (Buell Mechanic), rode again and just got back home. So for this day, at least, mission accomplished! Next time I ride early I will notify you so we can meet up. Today we had a lot to do so I had to be home at 8 AM but normally, I ride from like 7:00 AM to 10:00AM before coming back home for the family thing...Hasta lluego mi amigo! |

What a great day to be alive. Say what you will about Maryland, we have some great scenery. I took a spin up through northern Baltimore and Harford Counties - out in horse country and I didnt see one other Buell. It's a lonely path being a Buell owner |

Yeah, I know what you mean. I was out riding most of today around Frederick and I can count on one hand the sportbikes I saw, no Buells. Beautiful scenery in deed. Great weather too. |

Absolutely bueatiful day to be out. At the corner of rt 26 & 27 as we speak having a Yuengling, Buell parked out front amougst the Harleys and Harley-wannabes. That's OK. The day Buells are mainstream, I'd ride something else. |

I'm with Thunderstruck! I did the Total Control level 2 on Saturday as a student the things they made me do on the ULY... Speed Up-shifting rev down-shifting quick stops at 30 MPH in first gear less on rear brake more on front until we did some pretty good controlled endos Trail braking in curves front brake only then rear brake only while on the throttle with both exercises. The trail braking in curves which ever one you wanted to use or both. I tried this at first terrified of doing it with the front brake but found out for me it works better on the X1 at normal highway speeds it does make you faster in corners In the afternoon they set up a parking lot course, not as tight as the one we're used to but a series of curves. I had a smile plastered on my face. My peers in class were all guys we had 3 BMW's 1 victory Hammer, and another ULY rider. It was challenging but fun! K |

I was up in Carlisle, PA all weekend for my college reunion (had to take the cage...loooong story), but I have never seen more bikes (mostly Hogs) in one weekend outside of an organized show. I know Carlisle has bike and car shows, but there weren't any going on that I knew of. Central PA must be some sort of crossroads, and I think there are just more riders up there than in Montgomery County, MD and environs. There are some weekends I'll be out around here and only see a handful of bikes. Up there, they were everywhere (and most were the classic types: no helmets, no jackets, but lots of tats and big beards). I did spot one orange Uly, two-up, in a huge line of riders being led south down Route 15 at about 1:30pm. They pulled off right before Thurmont. I popped into HD/B of Frederick for a new headlight bulb...that place was hoppin' too. |

I rode Saturday.. At NJMP, Lightning - There were three other Buells that I saw on track all day. Had a great time, weather was wonderful, the event was something else with folks trooping through the paddock all day long, stunt show, vendors, dealer displays, little guys on little bikes getting to do a few laps on a 'big track' for the first time, some great old race bikes, carts on the cart track, cars on the other course (didn't see them but know they were there) .. It was a good event I suppose.. Now, let's see if I survive a long weekend at VIR .. Shooting Sat/Sun, Riding Mon... If I'm up for it.. |

Yes, Al at American Sportbike has it. It's not 100% even though its supposed to be. It is closer than anything else out there. Its factory touch up paint. |

Hi Jaycent thanks for the offer on help Yes I could use another couple of riders to help plot out the track. Today after 5 if it is not raining and the parking lot is dry I'm going to start working on it. Another ULY rider Chris, is going to help too. I am a very new Total Control instructor. I just taught my first class as a paid instructor yesterday in Frederick. I will be talking for Total Control for the first time at an event for all of you guys. I would love to get together with you and talk about your racing. |

Cleaned the injectors and throttle body and that seemed to take care of it. Waiting on a new rear tire for Saturday, should be in for Thursday (not sure about time yet-probably after lunch), but the one on now will do til then. If I can get it on Thus, I'll be making a trip from Frederick to Laurel. We can go out tomorrow too if you want. |
