Chuck - is there a way I can check to see if I have the current flash? Would they be able to pull it up based on my VIN or something? I've never experienced what you were talking about but I'd like to make sure I don't. |

I hope the 27th works for everyone. I'd like to start the ride around 1000, that way we'd be on the North side of Wateree around lunch time. That should give you guys from G-ville, Chucktown and Aiken time to get over here. We can stop for lunch around noon and then make our way over to TTHD. Nelson and I are going to ride the route tomorrow to make sure the roads are good and see where we can stop for lunch. Later... |

I admit defeat at making my own clamp, Im going to call smc tomorrow during work and talk with them about welding some tabs onto the muffler so that it bolts up to the stock z bracket. On a positive note, i scored a skinny corbin for my 97 tail for 125 shipped. |

Hey Guys, I've been down with kidney stones since last Sunday. I have one in each kidney but it's the one in my left that wants out. I have yet to pass it. Been to the ER twice for pain relief and missed work all last week. When we went on the ride Upstate ride, I had a little flank pain but thought it was the French Dip I had for lunch. The following weekend I rode up to Table Rock to try to do some exploring so the next ride up here would be better. We stopped in Brevard for lunch and that's when the stone started playing. Luckily I got home before the real pain kicked in. Ironically, the stone a too small to treated. They have to pass on their own. This is the fifth time I've had them. Ain't life grand? |

Best wishes, Gary. Matt, I've got your no-weld muffler bracket all dreamed-up & ready-to-go. May be I'm better suited to virtual mechanics: mighty XB lies semi-disassembled amid intake seal R&R. Next time, I'll rotate engine instead of ship-in-a-bottle procedure I've started. |

Scott, Come build that imaginary clamp system for my bike! Im thinking tabs welded up is the easiest solution. So far the streetfighter build is coming along nicely Got the crossroads in today, hopefully the cf hugger is here tomorrow. And im hoping to have the skinny tail and corbin on this weekend. Its a start atleast. |

You are all invited to ride Lake Wateree on 27 Jun, meeting at the Huddle House on Hwy 378 and Hwy 441, on the west side of Sumter. We’ll head out shortly after 1000, make our way up the east side of Lake Wateree to Great Falls, and stop for lunch on our way down at the Dutchman Creek Marina. From there we’ll take the scenic route to Thunder Tower Harley Davidson to check out their Buell’s and Buell stuff…. I think we can get this all done in less than 4 hours, that includes lunch. Let me know if you have any questions. |

Likewise Matt. Mine are -7 degrees also. Your wrists probably wont like them too much but there are times you can rest them. It totally changes the look of the bike!!! |

I GOT ENGAGED!! My girlfriend of over four years, Jennifer, and I finally made it to a point in our lives where we can begin getting things in order for marriage. She just graduated from UGA in May with a degree in microbiology and moved to West Ashley to establish South Carolina residency so she can attend MUSC, and I only have one more year left at the law school. The time was finally ripe to “pop” the question and begin focusing on spending the rest of my life with her. I knew I wanted to make the proposal super special. Jennifer knew a proposal was coming soon so I had to come up with some clever way to get her mind off the planned event of that night. I enlisted the help of my friend Chad and his wife to aid in distracting Jennifer. Jennifer and I regularly go on double dates with Chad and Melissa so it was not out of the ordinary for us to go out. We made plans to go out on the boat to eat California Dreaming like we had discussed many times before. This is where I faced my first problem; I really did not want to use my “redneck camo” boat (as Jennifer refers to it) for a special night so my good friend Jerms stepped up to the plate and volunteered the use of his cleaned-up Baycat. So on Friday night we went to pick up Chad and Melissa from their house with the Baycat in tow at 6:15. But, of course, I could not have Chad and Mellissa there when I proposed… so what to do? I enlisted the help of Melissa’s father who was out of town. While we were en route to the landing, Melissa’s father called Chad to tell him the alarm at their house was going off and they needed to go check it out. I turned around when we were about 5 miles out and took them home. Chad and I then “agreed” to just meet at the restaurant. Jennifer took the bait and Chad and Melissa were out. We then proceeded to Folly landing. I know Folly is not the most convenient landing to California Dreaming, but Jennifer does not know that… besides I was not going to a restaurant. Jerms and BJ had gone an hour ahead of us in my boat to set up a little something on the north end of Kiawah. When we arrived to the landing I sent Jerms a text to see what their status was and found out I needed to stall an additional 10 minutes. I took my time getting the boat readied and for the first time ever I did not have to wait for a ramp to open. In order to buy some time I pretended I did not know how to read the GPS so I rode up 2 tidal creeks and made 3 u-turns and she totally bought it. Once I got the go ahead from Jerms, I stormed the beach in catamaran. To solve Jennifer’s curiosity about why we were parking on the beach I told her there was beach access to the restaurant (which she bought because she is new to the area and never been to California Dreaming). I beached the boat and we hopped off onto the beach. We walked down the beach about 100 yards to where there was a picnic spread out surrounded by lit storm lanterns, decorated with gerber daisies and sunflowers, and soundtracked by Johnson, Mraz, Caillat, Carrabba, and the like. Jennifer looked at it and had no idea it was for her. She tried walking by, but I grabbed her by the arm. She looked at me in confusion, I nodded “yes this is for us” and we walked down the candle-lit walkway. When we arrived at the white blanket I dropped to one knee and asked the ever-so-fateful question. She said yes and offered me her left hand. I placed the ring on her finger as her teary eyes watched. We then sat down to a little meal I prepared on the beach. After about two minutes she couldn’t take it any longer… she asked if she could call her best friend. I succumbed to her request and waited patiently to get back to talking with my new fiancée. We had spent about 25 minutes on the beach when I texted Jerms the go ahead to bring his sick new camera over to take some shots of us and the magnificent pink and orange sunset. After the photo session, we left the beach and back to the hill where another friend, Ricky, and his wife were waiting with the trailer switched over to his truck and backed into the water. When we got to the landing I was able to trailer the boat right up and never leave Jennifer. Ricky and Sam were there to be the second to personally congratulate us and help me out with this very special night. Jennifer and I got in my truck and headed straight downtown. I told her we had dessert reservations at a nice restaurant and we had to hurry down there. We parked at Charleston Place and walked to Mercato where, unbeknownst to her, our parents had come in from Augusta and were waiting for us to celebrate. Again she was surprised and pleased. After dessert and fellowship, we took our first walk downtown as fiancés. As soon as I can get hold of Jerms I’ll get the link to the pics he took. Here's the ring for now. And my beautiful fiancée with a lucky guy.

Congratulations Eryc and Jennifer!!!! As you may know, I just got married on June 13 and am back from the honeymoon. The time leading up to your marriage is awesome but can get a little hectic but is fairly easy because she does the most of the planning. Just dont procrastinate too much because the last couple months, I dont know how long it will be before you get married, is the fastest time will travel during the period. When I proposed last year when Rachel got out of school it was 10 months to the date we set, and I cant remember where all that time went. It will be one of the best days of the beginning of your lives together. My marriage is only a week old but so far so good. Its AWESOME!!!! Enjoy!!! Congratulations again to both of you!!!!!!!!

Man, I've had a rash of Buell sightings in the last few days. Sunday during the day, I saw what looked like a white X-1 riding through my neighborhood in Summerville. Monday, I passed an XB?R (blue I believe) on North Rhett in Hanahan. Sometime later on Monday, I saw another tuber go past somewhere on my commute route. Spotting 3 Buells in 2 days in the Charleston area (outside of a Buell-specific gathering) is a record for me. |

WOW thats way more than I ever see unless it is my dad riding around coming home from work. Shoot I figured I would see several on my trip to Florida last week. I didn't see one single buell until I was leaving Friday morning to come home. I saw a Uly leading a pack of Harley's, and about 1/3 of the way home I saw a blue and white firebolt in the west central florida area. Other than that, there was no other Buell sightings for me even though that was a broad area I was driving in. Oh well, I may have not been in the right area at the right time of day. |
