Al there was a discussion when I first popped on the board back in Nov/Dec about using the XB heads on the tubers, and Nallins makes an adaptor for the frame to head engine mount. |

Wycked, Thanks, I'll look for that. Can you make it down here on Sunday? See if you can make it. It'll be fun. David, See you there. Can you contact Charles and that group to see if they want to ride along again? Thanks Al |

Nope I will be in San Diego saturday and sunday but I might be able to make next weekend. Got the Diablos put on my bike and took the 9R front body work and am in the middle of putting it on the 12. Mostly done just have to swap over the front brake (I don't feel like cracking the system right now and since the 9R will be down for awhile I took the easy route) Looks wise it will be off since the 9 is white, but when I can I will get it painted. I am getting race body work for the 9 down the road. |

http://www.aztrackday.com/events/032104.asp That looks like it will be FUN! $20 dyno runs! Think maybe I will have to sign up for it. $10 if you just want to go and check out the festivities and there will be Buell Demo Bikes there as well. |

Wycked - Yeah, I was looking at that... I think I'll be headed there, but I'm not too sure I want to take to the track on an "open house" type of day... I would like to check out a Ducati 99X and an RC51 though if they have them. Those were my other choices when I picked up the XB12R. |

M1, I don't think that will be a problem. Having attended one already they are very conscious of whats going on and are very on top of things. |

It's mostly the other riders running over me I'm worried about. Granted, I've never done a track day myself so I probably have no room at all to talk but it just seems like it would be an issue. I'll probably go and check it out and decide when I get there if I'll take to the track.. However... I fail to see any possibility that I can put myself within ten miles of a racetrack, on a bike, and NOT take a few laps... I think it would be pretty cool if a bunch of us Buell guys got together and showed up though... |

M1 you just take the beginner course and then you will be out there with guys on the same level as you. Just because its the beginner course doesn't mean it still isn't alot of fun. oh and two words PIRELLI DIABLOS! (is headed for Black Canyon to do some SCRUBBIN'!) edited by wyckedflesh on February 26, 2004 |

I rode the S-1 today. Man it's a beautiful thing! Too bad I can't afford what he wants for it. $7000 is just a tad too rich for my blood (Not to mention the bank acct.) Bart, you were right. It's a '96. I guess I'll keep on lookin'. Wishing I lived in Phx, Charles. |

I have the Corsas, not the Sports which is what the coupon is for. I will be REAL happy if I get 3000 miles out of them and I do mean them, they are soft as a babes arse and sticky as superglue. |

The magnet has returned! I was so determined to see how my 12 airbox and K&N filter additions would change my bike, I rode in despite the forecast of 30% chance of rain.....well guess what...it's now drizzling on my bike. At least the adds do make a difference! I can definitely feel it pull harder and the intake noise is quite a bit different. Best $100 spent for easy HP! See ya -------------Magnet
