This thread seems to be winding down..... Somebody write something!!! -T Kaese.. How'd (did you go?) the toy ride turn out?? My Mom's in the hospital (UCSF Medical), so though I was at a hospital in the city yesterday, it wasn't the right one. |

Kaese.. Do you get an e-mail every time someone posts on this thread?? I ask because I haven't seen anything posted here and then, just as soon as I post that this thread is dead, you reply... Just curious. BTW... Where in the San Mateo area did you ride? -T |

As far as we went that day, I will have to look at a map. I know you have been asking that, and I will try to answer that question. Been wanting to know myself. How is XB night on the first Monday in 2004 look for you? You are not going to wimp out because of the rain are you? |

Wimp out?? Actually I have a pretty darn good reason for missing them (and a hell of a lot of other stuff too) for a while.. My Mom's got something called CREST disease, along with a really bad case of pneumonia that's landed her in the hospital at UCSF for the past twenty-something days now.. We (the family) take shifts sitting with her and reading her the paper/books etc etc every day. Barring any unforeseen problems/worsening of her condition, it looks like I could be doing this for some time to come yet. At least till school starts anyway. Have fun though! -Tim edited by Stringbean on December 25, 2003 |

I just noticed this thread and thought I would check in. I ride out of Livermore and rarely see another Buell except American Sport Bike night. Happy hollidays, Robert. |

Is getting to the meet hard to do from the city? (I thought the bay bridge could get nasty that time of day). I'll most likely be in the city that day and could (possibly) go from there. There's only 3 or 4 motorcycle parking spaces in front of UCSF Med. on Parnasus (sp?)Street, and as far as I know there's NOTHING else for bikes anywhere around! THE CITY SUCKS...... We'll see. -T |

Stringbean, I do the Bay Bridge event twice a day Monday-Friday. Lane splitting is a must. I’m usually across the span in 10 minutes. Sometimes on Mondays, the traffic is a light for some reason. It always seems to be nasty from Downtown Oakland to the Coliseum though. I would be happy to show you the ropes. A couple of weeks ago I picked up an early X-Mas present, a Frank Thomas Cold Weather Suit. Waterproof and it keeps me pretty toasty. It worked so well that I even went out today and did a Mt. Diablo run. Even had some frost near the summit. Good views.

I just reinstalled my stock pipe and H-I-D-I-O-U-S air-box on the M2.. Let's see how long it takes before I get sick of it, come to my senses and put the aftermarket stuff back on.."> I hope the ugly looks and strange sound will be worth it, just for increased gas mileage and a slightly quieter exhaust note. -Tim edited by Stringbean on December 28, 2003 |
