Hey guys, I'm doing a NESBA track day at Barber on June 27th. Anyone interested in accompanying me? This will be my first track day, and I am TOTALLY psyched for it. Melissa and Shelby are going to go with me too! Has anyone ever stayed at that hotel that is at the intersection just off of 20? If so, how was it? We are planning on going down the night before and staying there if it is not bad. I want to stay the night before since check in is at 7am. |

Hey Russell, I might be able to go, but only to watch. If you want someone to just tag along and help, or just help encourage you, I would enjoy a relaxing day at the track. When I went last year we stayed at the Days Inn at the Leeds exit. I think that is the next exit east from the track exit. (Message edited by Eaton_corners on May 22, 2009) |

Hello from Sevierville, TN. Angie and I rode up 129 to the Tail of the Dragon today. We continued north to the Pigeon Forge area. Man, it's a mad house. I guess Dollywood must be quite the attraction. The weather was great, and the company was great. Tomorrow we're heading down through the Great Smokey Mountains national park to Cherokee, where we'll jump on the Blueridge Parkway to Asheville. |

Sanchez - sounds like a great ride. I was at Granite Mountain last weekend to get some gaskets and such, forgot all about the event. Need to log in more or something. I may be giving someone a ring for a little help with the bike. Main thing is the clutch .. I just does'nt feel right. It's not slipping but I adjusted it by the book and it still feels wrong to me. The engagement is at the very end of travel and shifting just feels wrong at times and having a hard time finding neutral .. but only sometimes, nothing I can really point to. Need someone with more experience to ride it and give some advice. I doubt the clutch is worn so it could be I just did the adjustment wrong. Other things are checking the timing , tried to check it my self but without a proper wheel stand it was a little difficult to spin the wheel w/o knocking the bike off the jack. Also need a TPS reset .. Don't have an EMCspy cable ( yet ) .. I will soon though. being a computer geek it's too tempting not to use EMCspy. I also have a small notebook PC that should work well if anyone want's to do some extended datalogging with EMCspy. |

Riding tall, sounds like you need some barn time. I have the cable for ecm spy, it is NOT USB though. My laptop is down, Hayden broke the connector for the power supply, this is the 3rd one and I am tired of fixing it. Heading out to a soggy Braves game in about an hour, I was going to get my parking ticket early but after Ticketscrewya it costs more than getting it there... |

Riding Tall, try adjusting your primary chain. I know if mine is too loose or too tight it's hard to hit neutral sometimes. |

kdan - bummer on the ticket. I did adjust the primary it was very loose, over an inch of play. it's better now but I was a worried about making it to tight as I could'nt figure a good way to measure the play. Better but something still feels off. will the EMCspy cable work with a serial-to-usb converter ? PC has no serial port. I may be able to help with the power supply for the laptop. |

Riding tall, I use a 3/8" open end wrench. The slack is supposed to be between 3/8 & 1/2 inch, so I stick a 3/8" wrench in the adjustment window and move the chain up and down with a screwdriver in multiple locations. Using the open end of the wrench as a ruler...Sorta. For the record, the cop let us off after considerable yelling, gesticulating and various threats and insults to our intelligence. And an escorted trip back to the dealer. Danyel from Granite Mtn. was leading me. I sure hope he still has a job. |
