Ryano...thanks for the offer. I go to school full time at UW-Milwaukee so I dont know the next time I will be able to venture your way but I am definitely interested... Stupid question though what is a "take off" seat? I'll go out on a limb and say it was a stock seat but the buyer opted for the low instead? | ||

Yup. Here's what I wrote the group this week... Saturday, May 2nd is the 1st CCS races of the year up at Road America Dan Bilansky will be running supertwins that day. Practice starts at 8AM, and races start at 11:00 I'm not about to get there by 8AM. So lets try and get up there by 10:30. So that means we'll have to leave Hals by 8:30AM. This is a WEATHER PERMITTING ride. If it's raining, or have some major rain for the day, I'm most likely not going. Tickets are $25. I've got a route I planned last year that we may take. Hals to Road America Now, the big one.... Sunday, May 3rd Slimey Crud Run There are TWO meeting places One is, of course Hals/HD Buell. The other is the Quicktrip in Wales. The one next to Le Ducs Custard on Hwy 18. For those of you that are meeting us at Hals, we'll be there around 8:00-8:15AM, kickstands up no later than 8:30AM And we'll meet the other group at 9:00AM at the Quicktrip in Wales. -------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Howdy all, my wife and I will meet you at the Dry Bean Saloon in Fitchburg for a killer breakfast before heading out to PineBluff for one end of the event, and then meander over to Leland for the other end of it. There will be no highly organized routing or ride captains, but we will lead for anyone who is unfamiliar with the event and the locations. Meet at Dry Bean at 10AM for their awesome breakfast buffet. Looks like you folks have had a couple of nice ride and track days already this year, nice. And under the heading of "Storm Fronts" I just got axed on the day job today. Pretty much slams any summer plans I had planned. First a reduction in hours and now a permanent layoff. So if anyone knows of any firm locally needing a CAD guy (I-DEAS, some Catia V5, and years ago a bunch of AutoCAD, then feel free to ping me. Also looks like I'll be posting my 2000 M2 and possibly the 1995 S2 and maybe even the slightly older FLT up on the local Craigslist if there is any value in them in the market these days. I'll probably dust off and charge up the M2 tomorrow and get the gas freshened up in it. This totally sucks, but you do what you gotta do to get by. I'll try to check back in tomorrow. When is the next group meeting down at Hal's? I'll see what the parttime schedule looks like. | ||

just wanted to let everyone know that our spring open house/Bike show is this saturday, and for all of you Buell enthusiasts Danny Bilansky and Dean will be heading up our Buell performance area. So if any of you have any questions in performance, or suspension tuning, come by our open house on saturday and have Danny or Dean help you out. Also, our Buell-a-Vista Grille area outside our Buell Showroom is nearly complete and you are welcome to come check it out. Hey I have two Buell's still ... err ... well .. one Buell and a pile of parts that used to be an S1 ... one of these days I will get her back together ... but hey - the Honda NEVER has problems - might smoke, leak and handle for shit .... but it is fun as hell to ride !!! But I gotta say - I love riding in to the HD dealerships to go detail their bikes on my Honda rat/cafe ... Was actually in the garage tonight mocking up the different tank for it, and Michelle gave me permission to buy the tail section for it ... (I've only been busting my tail detailing everyone elses stuff lately - as well as selling jackets and tires and what not ... ) I also figure that playing with the Honda will curb my desire to go buy that 2009 T100 ... (something that will really have me living in the garage - don't think I could slip that one by Michelle ...) Mike, I got the big lay off in November of last year. I have been living off of my savings now for 6 months. I am waiting to hear about a job in Germantown. It would be a paycut for sure but still an income. I am due to run out of money some time around July 4th, which would be the 9 month mark. I am hanging on to the M2 as long as I can here. I just picked Baby up last weekend with a dead battery. Seven hours after first getting to Sussex I rode home on a bump start and had to replace the battery on Monday. I missed out on Slimey Crud cause I didn't want to get stranded some where. Life is really hard right now, but I am applying for anything even remotely in my field. Mostly through the internet. I am a degreed Environmental Compliance Specialist. Not too many openings for that. So I apply as a Geologist also. I really miss riding and hanging out with the group. I should be able to make it to Homecoming on Saturday but that will be about it. Come in from Madison. Well that is my update. All for now.  | ||
