S1Hooligan, Latus has a pretty good dyno set up at the new shop. Since yours is a carb model, they probably can't screw it up. |

Galen, I have most of your parts here. I'll be dropping off your cylinders on Monday to have them bored .005" over or .010" over. They're both pretty scored, I only wish I could show you. Good news, there is no liner seperation. I do not have the .010" pistons in stock so I hope they won't be needed. I'll post next week what's required. The brackets for the S1 headlight is back ordered for 4 weeks, I hope you can hang in there for a bit longer. For those who wish to assist in this project, please be advised that Galens bike is a 2000. Some parts off ealier models don't work with later bikes. I've set up an account for Galen and accepting donations for this cause. I cannot provide reciepts for income tax, call me with your credit card and you'll recieve the appropriate exchange rate. Thanks, Stuart. |

Steve, I don't think that Chris and I are going to make it today. Chris has a cold that has kicked his ass the last 2 days. Sorry. If you were to show up around our area I might be able to break away for some back roads around St. Helens! But I don't know where you are headed. Call me if you think that is do-able. 360-896-3167 Have a nice day and have fun! Loni |

Steve, Spudman, Dave and Branden, THANK YOU! I am so glad that you came up and got me out for a ride today. I had a great time! I did approx. 140 miles and loved every minute of it. I love my new riding gear, thank you Joy! I did not wear the heated gear and still stayed warm. I hope that others got out and rode on this great day we had! Loni |

Loni, sweetie, it looked like Loni and her Biker Boyz today. WE BAD! What a beautiful day, especially for one that was supposed to be rainy. 250 miles for me. Looks like the mainshaft seal is out again. Oh well, I know that drill. |

Happy Presidents Day ya'll! Hey, speaking of Presidents, if you have a few extra dead ones under the mattress, would you please consider donating them to the GET BETTY BACK ON THE STREETS WHERE SHE BELONGS fund. Right now she is in a thousand pieces and is in need of lots of love. (i.e. lots of $$$). Stu at Deeley's House of Buell is donating labor and parts at a discount rate but money is still needed. Dig out your credit card and call Deeley's House of Buell @ 1-604-299-3278, and tell Kimberly or Stuart that you want to donate to our friend Galen Martindale's account. It gets a little complicated because of the exchange rate issue but it's nothing that can't be dealt with. Tell Kim or Stu how much you care to donate (in Canadian funds) he or she will then charge your credit card with that amount ( in Canadian funds ) and your credit card company will convert it back into US funds and charge that much ( in US funds ) to your next months bill. The current exchange rate is about $1.00 USD = $1.25 CAD. So, as an example, if you want to donate $20.00 USD you would tell Kim to credit Galen's account with $25.00 CAD. Better yet, $50.00 USD = $67.50 CAD. It's easier than it sounds. Just pick up the phone, dial 1-604-299-3278 and Kimberly will take care of you from there. Galen & Betty both thank you. |

Jim has offered his Gruman truck for my transportation needs. He and I, and maybe Harve, will be leaving here Saturday morning, to arrive around dinner time,I guess. Whether we accept the hospitality of the Wood's or the Taylor's is up to you guys. Whatever works best. I am pleased to announce that my personal life has taken a turn for the better. My wife, who was set to become my ex-wife, has reconsidered my charm vs irritant ratio and has rejoined the relationship and we are now moving forward. Moving being the operative word. We are currently house-shopping in Kelowna (50 miles north of Penticton, where we stayed on the final night of Border Raid last year.) We expect to be living there by July. Which gives me 300 miles extra to travel to join the gang here for SPLASH. I'll have to find Neil, he of the red S1 with the broken belt. That's his neighbourhood.

Kim, I have enough room for Deb, Bob, and Jim, plus one other. Could you make room for the Canadians? That would be 3-4 staying at your place and 3-4 at ours. Yes it does sound like a good time. I can't wait to see everyone. Jim if you don't mind sleeping out in our guest house (trailer) I could fit you and one other person. If any of you others are thinking of coming down, up or over please let us know so that we can figure out sleeping arrangments! Loni |

Does any of the North West riders have a swingarm mount block? Need one for our Buell drag bike. Ray, I love your sarcasm on the photo section! Thanks, Stuart. |

ok..... so I just talked to Loni and she will be housing Bob & Deb for sure at her place with room for 2 more people. From what I understand the Taylor's will be having a race party at their place Saturday morning to early afternoon and will be making breakfast. Then Saturday later in the afternoon when the Canadians and Jim arrive we will be having a Bar-B-Que at our place, The Wood House. The Taylors, and the G's will be here for that event as well. I need to know who is committed to staying here so that I can have ample room and food. Also I need to know what local peeps will be showing up to hang out, eat, drink and be merry! If you can post up and let me know that would be groovy, the sooner the better would be appreciated. Looking forward to seeing everyone. |
