I'm going! With the caveat that this freakin' rain is gone by then. I don't have a rain suit and not too thrilled about long distances in the rain, especially at highway speeds. Everyone feel free to speak up, but I think the count stands at 4 right now: Neil Mark Ryan Bruce |

Foul weather rides make for the best stories..... "It was raining so hard.... I've stayed dryer in the tub" |

I'll be going. I just hope it isn't raining. I don't have any rain gear. I guess I'm a Fairweatherbiker... I will make the trip as long as it isn't pouring I can handle some light rain. |

"Fairweatherbiker..." haha! I'm with you Ryan. Guess I too haven't yet made the leap into full-fledged "badweatherbiker" quite yet. |

I headed out to F&S HD in Dayton yesterday and picked up my free gear lock. http://www.buell.com/en_us/get-yours/special-offer s/gear-lock/index.asp It doesn't seem to be very well made - which makes it very lightweight though. It certainly won't stop anyone intent on stealing your gear. I view it as my house's locking front door handle. It will keep the honest people honest, but won't stop a real thief. It does have the Buell logo on it though, so you might want to pick one up simply to add it to your Buell collection of stuff. |

COBRA Logo I've about given up on the guy I asked to help with our logo. I was hopeful he would simply be able to replace the BUELL lettering with COBRA, but he's gone no where with it. Not even in exchange for taking him and his wife out for a nice dinner. He's a good guy, just been too busy with "real" work lately. That leaves us back at square one. *sigh* I'm kind of at a loss now. Where do we want to go from here? Shall we discuss at our meet on Wednesday? |

I can ask the graphic designer that works for me if he can give it a go. We will discuss Wednesday. |

Just checked out your profile Ryan - a fellow techie! I'm pretty graphically retarded myself, so any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. |

Is anybody gonna do the Res Ride?? Its just around the corner and no one has said they are going..... Friday, May 22. Plan is to meet at Tommy's Diner at 914 West Broad Street. Kickstands up at 9AM sharp. If people want to eat then they should come early. Show up with a full tank of gas and a empty bladder. If no one speaks up soon.... I will assume I'm the only one going. |

The bike is looking real sharp Mark! The white on the bags really brings it together too. As for the reservoir ride...I'm not going to be able to make it. |

What skill level is the reservoir ride? I'm always a bit nervous going on big rides as I am not the most skilled rider. I get a bit cautious when riding unfamiliar territory. |

What skill level is the reservoir ride? I would say it will be "Ride at your own pace" How I have seen it done is you make sure the rider behind you sees what way you turn and they do the same thing for the rider behind them and so on.... The group can get spread out over a mile or so, but it doesn't matter because every rider has been keeping tabs on the rider behind them. Everyone gets to ride the way they like with little breaks while they wait for the rider behind them... Its all good! |

I really like the logo I had a guy at work take the logo and try to add a bit of depth to the Cobra in the background. He did a bunch, but I liked this one. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3558/3505130540_b6e 06d3593.jpg?v=0 |

I had an idea to meld the two together. This is what he did for us. I'm trying to talk him into buying a Buell... He is a great kid and is looking for a bike. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3561/3505738418_c50 ec935c5.jpg?v=0 |

I'm not going to be able to make it tonight. Had to play taxi this morning for the kids, so no bike. Here are 2 more logos. Please let me know about colors etc.. He also said he can have patches made for cheap. His father-in-law also owns a parts dealer, not much Buell stuff, but he can get most after market parts for a good discount, i.e. HMF 1125 slip on for $395 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3383/3507041145_a27 90f8b8b.jpg?v=0 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3329/3507041205_2eb f44722e.jpg?v=0 |

Now THAT'S cool!! I think we have a winner! Ryan, I'll need the full scale PSD file for this image so I can create various sizes for the website. I also may need to de-layer it to use just some of it in the favicon, for instance. Just shoot the PSD file to my email address when you get a chance. Thanks for taking the image and getting it tricked out even more! Kudos to your designer. |

All, We're going ahead and postponing tonight's COBRA meeting due to rain. The rain date each month is the second Wednesday of the month, so we'll plan on next week Wednesday, May 13. Same place, same time. That would be Claddagh Irish Pub (8745 Sancus Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 4324) at 6:30pm next week. Sorry for the late notice, but we were crossing our fingers that the rain would let up. However, it looks like the forecasters actually got it right today. We'll see you all next week though! |

I like the current logo, but personally as an artist I would make a few changes. The sharp points just above the "c and a" of COBRA need to be smoothed out and more fluid to the oval shape created defining the "hood" of the cobra symbol. And I would also omit the " buell motorcycle riders " portion under COBRA. You are just stating the obvious twice with the definition of COBRA above. Remember this should be kept fairly simple should they be made into patches, stickers, etc. IMHO. Feelings? |

I would suggest we put this on the back of a t-shirt and this on the left breast pocket area... If the silk screen was one color on a solid color t-shirt, the cost shouldn't be that bad. If we have no luck with a local hook up, we could see if Glitch CO. would want to do them. I think I will send him a PM to get a price. |
