Anybody riding up from the Virginia area for this? |

I'll be riding out from the Pittsburgh area. If anyone is passing through, give a shout (PM). Any other updates/ideas as to Buell activities this year? The press release seems pretty slim outside the race... |

Doesn't look like hotel/Motel arrangements have been announced. Nor do they seem like it will materialize. Hope someone does something about it. I've had suggestions that can be done. Also a dinner... I had suggestions that can be done. Let me know. If other plans are being made then that is great. Things need to be done soon. |

I have been patiently waiting for something to be announced, or for a posse to form on BadWeb. I will definitely be heading there, but would be super-pissed if I book near the race track and then find out there's tons of things going on in East Troy. Kinda not sure what to do... |

Hello? Is the only thread going on in the QuickBoard? I thought this was the place to discuss events and gatherings? |

Is this THE Homecoming thread? I'm starting to play with different plans and ideas. . . . I guess I am going to have to serve coffee so I need to be there! |

I guess I am going to have to serve coffee so I need to be there! Yes you do! This going to be great. I wish Lynn could come with me but her school takes priority. I am thinking about my route and may head North and come down through the Dakotas similar to what Maximum and Troyz did last year. |

Anyone notice that Homecoming is not on the Buell site anymore. The AMA race is still on the Owner Events list but I think the only place Homecoming was posted was on the home page. Thankfully Blake posted it at the top of this thread but unfortunately not every Buell owner is on the BadWeb. The only reason I noticed is I may have to limit my time so I was seeing what days had events that I wanted to go to. |

It's still on the Buell website. I only ever saw it on the News page though. It's still there: http://www.buell.com/en_us/company/news/detail.asp ?news_id=1425 Wish there would be more posted. Maybe the 25th last year burned everyone out? Wish I had been able to make it last year. This year seems to be dwarfed by the race weekend. |

Thanks, I am having one of those days I guess. This year seems to be dwarfed by the race weekend. I kinda of feel that way as well but only in the advertisement of it. The races do not matter to me that much. Hanging out with like minded riders is why I am going. Do not think it will be all about races. It will be fun! |

Oh, I'm definitely looking forward to it! I'll be looking forward to being at the races also though. Besides this event, the only major race weekend I'll be able to get to this year is closer to home at Mid-Ohio. |

Is there a nice hotel anyone would suggest that would be close? I thought I remember someone saying that there was a nice one across the street but was a little spendy. I dont recall the name of the hotel and I cant find that thread now. |

I think it was the Country Inn & Suites: http://www.wisconsin-hotels.org/cities/East-Troy/hotel/68803/ (Message edited by ponti1 on March 31, 2009) |

It is interesting that there is no mention (at least what I could find) of the Homecoming event on the Buell site. Something up with that? Cancelled? On another note, I see that they advertise on the Owners page that they just added the summer 2008 FUELL magazine. Perhaps they should be looking at spring 2009? |

look under company, news it's there I don't know why it's not in the events. Maybe someone here should add it. Then buell might get the hint. |

I would camp but after riding 5 hours up, sleeping on the ground isn't that appetizing to me I did that enough in the corps. I booked at the Country Inn & Suites. (Message edited by x1_ on April 26, 2009) |

I still may camp, but am undecided as of right now. I only have one real issue with it...If I ride 8+ hours to get there, I'm gonna want a shower and a bed if it happens to be raining for the entire trip. Other than that, I have no apprehension about camping. Will probably come down to flipping a coin later this week... |

16 hours for me unless I take the Northern route through the Badlands then add 8 to 10 hours. Ponti1, if it rains the entire trip then you don't really need a shower. I am not that tough. I use an air bed and electric pump. I usually bring a stove and coffee pot as well but I understand we may have coffee delivered in the morning. It is a little like being in the field but at least it is not at Lejeune in August at LZ Bluebird. |

Looks like I am going to have to super slab it to East Troy. I am going to try and make it just past (East of) Omaha NE the first day. If anyone in that area is looking for someone to ride with that would be cool. I am not sure where I will stop or where I will spend the night, everything is up in the air. Frank |
