I took the family out for Marion's pizza in Dayton today (great pizza - we gotta have it every couple months). We stopped off at F&S HD / Buell and picked up my free Buell tire pressure gauge. It's a actually a pretty nice mini pencil gauge. Anyway, we checked out their Buell selection of bikes and gear, and found that they had a small but nice section dedicated to Buell. Shirts, gloves, helmets, riding jackets, a nice casual jacket, etc. They also have several styles of Buell shirts in the clearance section - I picked up 3 clearance and 1 new shirt myself, and they have plenty left. Thought I'd let everyone know they seem to take Buell a bit more seriously then AD Farrow...at least from the appearance of what they stock. Maybe some of you already knew this, but this was my first visit out there so I thought I'd pass it along. |

Just a FYI I am teaching a BRC2 class this Saturday at the Ohio Department of Public Safety at 1970 West Broad Street There are 9 openings as of today. If you have been riding and do not have your motorcycle endorsement, this is a quick and cost effective way to get legal. The class runs for 8-5 and cost 25 bucks. Once you successfully complete the class you will be able to get your endorsement at the DMV |

Sorry guys but I wish I could say more about Buell support at AD Farrow. But I have no control over that and I have pushed multiple times. You know I will always be there to support you guys anyway possible. So, I like the logo ideas and I agree with Mark when I think we should remove "buell" from the oval and put "" cobra"" instead with all the words surrounding. then get decals and patches made. |

Don't worry Neil, we know you got our back.... It looks like I may do some "speaking" at the Dual-Sport/Long-Distance Riding Seminar, 6 to 9 p.m., at the NorthStar location. Uly modes is my topic..... ya got me... I was asked... so I shall flap my gums... Hope to see some of you there. |

I'll be up at Northstar for the seminar tonight...showing my support for Buell and Mark! Really looking forward to getting as much information as possible about long distance riding before my trip out to Mt. Rushmore this summer. Neil - the folks that I've dealt with at both locations have always been nice and friendly...except when they "tried" to talk me into a Sportster instead of a Buell last summer. LOL! And while I would rather support our local dealers and businesses, the fact remains, Farrow just doesn't stock much of anything outside of a few bikes. Kind of hard for Buell, as a boutique manufacturer, to get more sales if the dealers don't make an effort to sell them. *sigh* But I suppose that just keeps us unique! I know you're looking out for us though - thank you! Maybe something will come from Danny Eslicks recent couple of wins. As they say, what wins on the weekend sells on Monday! |

If anyone's interested in meeting to ride up to Farrow's, I have a non-Buell buddy meeting at my house about 5:30pm. I live in North Westerville about 20-25 minutes away from Northstar - with a few curves on the way there. Everyone is welcome to meet at my house, or if it's easier, up at the corner of Maxtown (Polaris) and Westerville Road (SR 3) in Westerville. Or we'll just see you at Northstar, showing your support! Think about it - the more Buellers that show up at these types of things, the more likely AD Farrow may take notice (I hope I'm not being too naive here...). Just let me know before 4pm today if you want to meet up. |

Downtown Columbus Dealership. Helpful for those taking part in the Beginner Group Ride on April 26 and anyone looking to brush up on their riding knowledge! There seems to be a hell of a Buell event happening in May in Mentor OH. Might be worth posting up on the site. Any of you lucky people that don't work Saturdays might want to head that way. See "Thunder and Lightning" thread in Storm Fronts. |

I did already add it to the event calendar, but you're right about the post. I'll put a post up about it so it's more prominently displayed. |

I like what ya did with the youtube link with Danny riding the wheelie across the finish line. For those of you that didn't make it to the seminar last night, you missed out.... It started with some GOOD food and then we went to the class room for the presentation by John Frick, endurance riding superman and Royce Woods, AMA Rep and dual-sport rider. The pictures and stories.... AMAZING! I now want to go to Hyder Alaska for some strange reason.... |

I'll vouch for Mark's comments. It was a good time, with good food, and good information all around. Heck...I even won a $25 gas card! Not bad for a freebie seminar. LOL I agree that the pictures were breathtaking...particularly the ones from Alaska. Something very 'romantic' about riding through this great country of ours on those less traveled roads. |

Hey guys I'm really into the Buell day at Western Reserve HD, I have never been there myself and I am always interested at looking at other dealers (since I work for one). I just wish we had something like that around here. My bike is currently at the shop but I want to have it ready for this ride if you guys are willing to go with me I'll put in for the vacation request to get that saturday off. Again I've got some runnability issues with the bike and I'm going to be putting in the time to fix it real soon. |

I'll make a suggestion - Claddagh Irish Pub just off Polaris on Sancus. http://claddaghirishpubs.com Been a while since I've been there, but as I recall it's pretty cool. |

Hey Neil - what ideas did you have on the logo? Since we can't use the actual Buell logo inside the cobra, I asked a buddy to see what he could do about simply changing the "Buell" wording to "COBRA". But he hasn't made much headway yet. |

Just got a email from Farrow's and thought I would pass it along.... Mr. McCarthy attended our Dual-Sport seminar last week, admitting, “I’m not much of a Harley-guy, but I wanted to see what Harley could say about sport bikes.” He told me that we was “floored and completely overwhelmed by the warm welcome, openness and hospitality” he experienced that night. He didn’t feel out-of-place, or intimidated for not being a Harley rider here. Here’s where the story gets good…The following day he brought his wife back to NorthStar (from Newark , I should add) to check out the Buells and spoke to Nick. Today, he called me to sign his wife up for Rider’s Edge! He is an insurance agent in Newark and wants to now put his entire staff through the course to better understand the riding community! He has signed up for our newsletter and can’t wait to attend other events at our dealership. Thanks for your great work that night and each day since!

Gregg, email me the current logo design and just the GI Joe one and if I get some time I'll play with it for the next meeting. I have found some companies that do custom motorcycle patches if you guys are into that kinda thing, i want to get a back patch or something of the sort to REPRESENT. |

BTW Claddaugh is fine with me, let's try to get seated where we can he each other speak about club topics and where we need to take things from here. Maybe hand out some titles. ( officers of certain duties i.e. pres,VP secretary, treasure, etc.)or do other people feel indifferent to tradition? |

Sorry Steve, would have been fun to ride out with the wife but we just got home with the kids from our annual MS walk as the zoo. Perhaps you should stop off at AD Farrow on the way home and pester Mark though...and he can explain to his students how they're supposed to "NOT try this at home, professional on a closed track, etc". LOL hmmm...which brings a thought to mind. I think Mark should teach a class on how to safely do wheelies!! I'd be the first to sign up for that one! |

I think Mark should teach a class on how to safely do wheelies!! That class is held once a year at the WV Buell Rally.... and you may want to find someone that can get it on the balance point and keep it there.... |
