Yeah, we were there all weekend. Left early Sunday morning. We did not even take any of the bikes out of the trailer. What a friggin flop. It was even worse, way worse, than last year. We had a good time nonetheless. We all wished we were riding though.

I will, I am renting in W Ashley right now looking for a house, just settling in to new job. Yesterday I rode all over the greater Charleston area and stopped in at low country HD. Looks like they have an 08 1125R on hand tho I didn't check the $$ I could almost do it : )

Wherever you ride make you sure you avoid Summerville unless you're on a liquid- cooled bike. The annual Azalea Pestival is going full blast and gridlock is the norm.

Sunday proved a great day to ride Blue Ridge of SC & NC ('johnny-law' was out enjoying the day, too).
Lost a socket-screw from mighty XB's W-bracket last Sunday heading to Suches.
Screw replaced, she purred past 7k miles and certainly feels faster now that passenger peg brackets are removed.
Yet, wheel-bearing paranoia rears its head with every suspected new vibration.

When's next regional gathering?

was bad, look at the Suches forecast for the next couple of days:

Jim- Yeow! Dang- I thought we were done with cold weather but I guess not. When are you headed up there?

BTW- lady from Stone Mountain posted in the MBVI thread on the Quick Board that they are going to try to line up the Buell demo truck to come to Suches in the next month or so. I hope I can make the date if they do it again.

Aptbldr- Good question. We definitely need to line something up before the weather turns hot. Don't worry about those wheel bearings- the problem mainly seems to afflict us Uly riders. Check them at your next tire change; if they feel rough, replace them with the latest updated bearings from Buell.

Man that bites. Oh well at least you dont have to ask her to stay home when you want to ride. All I know is that two up on a lightning is very uncomfortable to the ole sack. So that bike is a ME only bike.

Whats with this scheduling? I cant make that weekend. I got a paintball game scheduled and a wedding shower to be at. Man I hate to say it but I would rather go to the track, but when your second in the priority line (the groom) you kinda gotta be there. She would kill me if I didn't attend.

According to CMSP, races are both Saturday April 18 and Sunday April 19th, in case any of you can make one of the days.

Darren- it never fails does it? Not much to do for 3 or 4 months, then 3 things fall on one day.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention this earlier.

On Sunday I was following my girl back to her house when I was riding the lightning and I just so happened to pass a custom painted red 2004 XB12S in and intersection and when he saw me we both turned into a gas station.

Got to talking with him and he is from Michigan, if I remember correctly. He sounded like he is not here for just a visit, probably to stay a while. I told him about the site here and he sort of knew of it but didn't do to much time on it. I do have his phone number so maybe he will get to do some SCBR rides when they happen.

It was kinda nice getting to see another Buell in Lexington that I actually got to stop and talk to.

I started taking the relatively new Military Sportbike Rider Course on Monday and there were 4 Buells (including me and one of the 2 instructors) riding Buells out of 13 people.

One of the instructors rides a black Uly and is a Badwebber, but I think he mainly lurks. One guy was on a black 1125CR with Jardine exhaust (I think that's the one I've seen near the Weapons Station) and another guy rides a blue XB12XT. I didn't get a chance to talk to them about Badweb yet.

We had to stop the class half-way through the exercises section in the afternoon due to slick pavement from earlier rain. We're supposed to finish up Friday morning. Good course so far.
