Talk Black_sunshine into it so I can carpool with him, and I'm in. Otherwise, it'll take some serious bribery to get me riding out to your place in the rain.
Maybe it's just me, but when I saw this on their web site, I thought of a guy in a cape and a dress:
I'm checking junk yards, and a 4R100 is quite a bit cheaper than I expected. I'm finding them from $650 to $850. I figured a rebuild would be at least that much if not more.
Last time I checked the BTS rebuild was $3800 but you'll never break it. It has an input torque capacity of 2000 ft/lbs. If I had the money that's what I would buy.
All right guys and gals! My wonderful wife just called me to let me know she bought me 2 tickets to one of my favorite bands of all time! I am so stoked that I get to go and bummed it isn't until Oct 4! Damn this waiting thing!
> I was wondering if any of you come up anymore? It was a great day to ride.
Yesterday was beee-yooo-tiful. I caught up with some BSB folks in Tellico Plains, and we rode up to the top of the Cherohala and back. Leaving Tellico Plains, one of the riders pulled a wheelie and dumped his gf off the back. She face planted right into the pavement, but escaped with just a sprained wrist, some scrapes, and a wrecked helmet.
She didn't want to get back on the sport bike, so I gave her an am-buell-ance ride back to Georgia on the Ulysses.
Yesterday was great. Somehow we missed a stop on the trip up to the Cherholla and lost everyone. The guy I was riding with realized he was about out of gas once we made it to the top so we ended up going to Robinsville. Good part is we missed the drama. Wheelies and chicks on the back don't mix very well! We saw 4 cops set up out there on 60 on the way back!
Four different spots. We were on the way home so it was a slower pace. Once we saw the first one we really slowed down! Mainly luck I guess. We blew by one going up 60 at the beginning of the day, saw him begin to turn around but no lights so we hauled ass out of there.
