Why can't Buell Racing catch a brake? They did pulla 5th but a podium finish would have raised a lot of eyebrows and interest in terrific machines. I watched the race last night at a sports bar and it amazed me how easily people ragged on the Buell. I heard all the usual tractor, no hp, slang and it sort of enraged me. I guess these naysayers are just taking the easy way out; doting on bikes that have no relevance in our world. It was pretty golden when one of these folks asked if anyone had ever ridden one of those Ulysses'. When I said I owned one and it hapened to be my third Buell he said "OH, how do you like it?" Well, it being the best bike I've ever owned, I let him know how good it was riding something with such an ancient, low hp, tractor like motor. NUTS |

+1 Took ol yeller down to the Duc/Aprilia dealer for inspection this morning. It was the usual "tractor/lump/slow american" jargon. BUT, when that little yellow start button was pressed, everybody stopped, stared, and grinned at the little yellow beast.(Drum, Drum, Drum) The dude that rode it back into the shop couldn't stop grinning. |

Hey Guys, My 490 Mutant had three good laps and went pop. Guess it's time to take her apart and survey the damage. Why do they always run soooooo good right before they let go? Oh well, time to go E-Bay shopping. |

There is a reason I don't have an EBAY account. I have been known to be finacially irresponsible. Sorry to hear about your smoker woes Charlie. You'll find a way, I know it. Tank, I've got ZUMO on the way, got any coordinates for the cabin? NUTS |

Thanks Tank. Jaxson, Sportsmans Warehouse is on sale. Everything but ammo and guns. Most of the ammo was gone but there were a lot of orange tags on the guns(sale!) Most stuff was 10-20% off. I picked up thermacell refills. I need to go back and get a good fishing reel, anchor, rod holder, and some tackle. NUTS |

My Zumo plans have hit the fan. It seems everyone is advertising merchandise they do not have accurate information nor posession of. They sure like to waste customer's time as well. I'm going to cry in my coffee. Hopefully the internet is treating Mr. Cyclone with a little more respect. Finding a few parts are ya charlie? Tank, T-minus 8 days to liftoff. I have confirmed sightings of deer at my secret spots on the farm. Seems like they are congregating around piles of yellow corn and blocks of salt. |

Nuts, Plenty of parts on E-Bay(no deals)Was cheaper getting them thru a distributor(go figure)iston, rod kit, main bearings and seals, plus gasket set and bore job.OUCH! Still a lot cheaper than a four stroke. Happy SP Day, down a pint for me. |

Well, I had to go see Todd today, wifey picked up a railroad spike in her tire. That means she's driving the truck and I'm worried like a father whose virginal daughter is headed to prom. Todd is puting a big-bore kit in his KLR and having the machine work done at Edwards in buchanan. Hopefully this fog will clear so I can go out on the bike today, I need some seat time. NUTS |

Oh there's a plenty going on here Charlie. The frogs are starting to mate so I'm going to the pond each night to see how many different species I can photograph this year. A couple of my lizards appear to be gravid so I'm looking forward to the prospect of having 20-30 youngsters running around. Turkey season is right around the corner and since Nuts bailed on being a member of the club I'll have the mountain pretty much all to myself. So whats the penalty if I get caught dancing with your gator? |

Actually NUTS is north. Been dog watching for my folks. I had 3 deer come to the saltlick Friday evening, saw a loner yesterday while I was on the tractor and jumped 3 more whilst I was spreading the food plot seed. I bailed on the turtlemolester and the club so I can concentrate my efforts on my home-range. I went for a evening walk and saw 2 hawks and about 20 squirrel. Sure is tough up here! I rode the BRP from Roanoke to Waynesboro on Friday; pasing 25 deer(6 at within 5 yards of the Uly) a tom turkey, a hawk, and had a grey squirrel dance in-between my tires at 40mph. Gonna have to do it all over again tomorrow, awful isn't it? |

Nuts, When your tromping around in heaven you shouldn't sound so spiteful. Things have a way of turning on ya when you least expect it to. I remember a guy who was travelling the BRP at night in that area and hit a black bear. Damaged the car where it wouldn't run and was afraid to walk out because of the bear. Come morning the bear was gone and he walked till he got to the Peaks of Otter. I was there working on the phones, he looked pretty rough. Jack, Dancing with a seven foot Gater might cost you a foot or more. Nothing you couldn't live without. |

Jackie, Glad to hear your having a productive year with your lizards. You don't claim all those little guys on your taxes? Are you raising frogs or just gigging them? They make for some pretty good eatin. Nuts, I thought you and Tank were going to March Badness? They might actually have good weather for a change. |

Charlie, I'm headed down Wednesday. First I have to get back to the Star City. I've talked Pop into riding down to Buena Vista with me, we'll have a dog at Franks and depart company. He hasn't been on the bike since September and I'd like to keep an eye on him. A day of rest and off I go. NUTS |

Well, I went and pulled a Turtlehugger. Looking at the weather forecast things were going to be less than optimum. Falling off the bicycle on Tuesday and tearing up my knee didn't help. I had hopes of the weather clearing so I could make a run down Friday morning but it just isn't going to happen. I spoke to Tank yesterday and he was holed up in a motorbike shop somewhere. They had to drive the car to get there! I'll take the time to prep my bikes and get ready for lots of fair-weather riding. NUTS |

Charlie, I gotta come see you now. The novelty of my new phone wore off so I was forced to buy myself one of those new fangled digital SLR cameras. Once I get it figured out I sure would like to get me some photos of that gator as wll as any anoles or other critters you got running around. We are gonna be down that way June 21-26 so maybe I could take you out for lunch and have a look see at this pet of yours. Nuts, I can't believe you wimped out! That is pathetic. After all the nastiness you have ridden through a little rain shouldn't matter to ya'. Are you getting soft in your old age? |

Jackie, For lunch I can probably arrange a couple of laps around the pond on the "Ole Boy".And if we can find a few stray cats, you might get a chance to feed him. Nuts knows when he is wasting his time.Although you still have time to ride up to Fargo and fill some sand bags. |

My daughter is going on a mission trip to Fargo and the surrounding areas shortly. Guess they will really need it now. 43ft river crest. That is insane! We'll definately have to figure out the lunch thing. Do you have the little green anoles around your place? For some reason I really like those things. |

I was secretly hoping to get a break in the weather to make a run down today. Not gonna happen, guess I'll save my pennies for a sunny day. I'm off next week to spread lime and fertilizer at the farm. Might have to throw some hi-pro seed in with it.NUTS |

Jackie, I've never tried the Anoles, do you steam them or deep fry?I don't know for sure if their where I live, if not I've seen them at the machine shop(35 miles in land) The game warden has probably already scoped Nut's little garden out and is just waiting him out. |
