Nick- Sorry to hear that. Dip into the vacation funds now and skip a movie or meal out or two next month to make up for it! |

Eryc- See my post in the Quickboard MBVI thread. I do this every year (start watching the weather a week ahead of time), and it absolutely proves weather forecasts made more than about 2 days in advance are completely useless. They'll change their predictions completely at least twice between now and next Thursday. Don't sweat it- yet. |

Yea, looks like that crap out west is headed this way. Only hope is it comes through early or late. Looks like Sunday should be OK at least, and temps are decent. At any rate, 2-1/2 days of riding in the mountains in the rain still beats the crap out of 2-1/2 days at work! |

I think I am going to bring my fishin' pole. Probably my shotgun too... here turkey, turkey. I would rather be riding though. |

ya the weather is not very biker friendly for the next 10 days. for the exception of monday and tuesday. but like it was mentioned earlier forecasts out for more than 2 days out are virtually worthless |

Hey Dreso1021- welcome to the group. We've got a few Badwebbers here in the Charleston area. We've also been talking about having a gathering with the C3 bunch from North Carolina some time. Hopefully we can hook up for a ride before too long. |

It keeps getting worse and worse. Even if it does decide to not rain on Sunday, the ground is going to be saturated and there is going to be water seeping and flowing across the roads. Why does the weather have to blow? Two weeks of beautiful weather, but when it really counts... blowout. |

Yea, not looking too good, is it? Looks like I'll be in rain the whole way up. I bought a used Aerostich last year; I guess it'll be getting a thorough workout. I think the worst thing about the rain up there is gravel getting washed into the roads in the corners. Maybe they should just make Buelltoberfest a full week- that weather was awesome last year. |

I wonder what would happen if they took march badness and changed it to april badness? Do you think the chances of rain would be less? I do. Probably the end of april would be better. It just doesn't have the same ring though. The weather may be better?!. |

That's exactly what they did with the BMW Georgia Mountain Rally. It used to be during the first weekend of April but it seemed to rain every weekend in addition to being cold. A few years ago they moved it to the first weekend in May. Last year we had perfect weather. The year before that it rained, but it was a warm rain! |

I got some riding in yesterday evening, down 61 to South end of 526 to downtown, then back 26 to 526 W Ashley area. Was a slight rain on at the end of the evening but otherwise pretty nice out. Trying out the brand new P Corsa III's I got last week. Coming from Raleigh N Carolina, I can see I need to soften up the suspension for use around Charleston, road surfaces are pretty rough. |
