Hey Caboose, I've seen guys ice racing on the reservoir in Parkhill. Parkhill is about 40 minutes north of London, on Highway 7. Access doesn't seem to be a problem. You might want to check it out! Pauly |

"oh trust me, i ain't letting that get to my head! i was onto your ploy and i know very well what happens when there are 2 buells, a track, lornce and the dr: i'm in front" Oh brother, here we go.... Gonna be a loooong winter, eh K? Ohhh, I could mention the 50yds or so you pulled each lap on the front straight (ho hum) was usually gone by turn 2.... But I'm more of a gentleman than that.... You need an ice bike so we have something to "talk" about 'til Mosport and Cayuga reopen....

Lornce, never did make it out today. Far to many complications. We are all set for Sunday though. I'm leaving my place at 10:30, Kent won't be showing up till after 1 o'clock (with a plow & snow blower) but I need that time to get used to riding on the ice anyways! If your KTM needs a lift up there lemme know... My plan is to ride until I can't move anymore or the sun sets...which ever comes first! |

Sorry to stall on ya Caboose, wasn't able to get the tow vehicle I'd hoped. I need to buy a truck.... If you've got room on your truck Sunday, that'd be great. Bring your cordless drill along, I'll have some ice screws for you. Had to order another 1000, the first 1000 disappeared with 1/3 of the front tire still bare!!! Orta be able to climb an ice wall with this thing. |

I'll pick you up at 10:00 Sunday morning. Do you have a ramp to load your bike? The 2X8 I was planning on using seems to be frozen to the ground! I'll need directions to your place. If I recall correctly your off Emerson? Zing me a ping or call me 905 335-1426. |

Jason, Turn right at the end of Emmerson and you'll see the bike. I've got an 8 foot expanded metal ramp. Perfect for loading your truck or the trailer, whichever you want to do. This'll be fun. I've invited Airheads who're interested to come and join us. Where'd be the best spot for folks to park?

Oh great....your bringing you own cheering section. Where's the best place to park? That's a good question. I've never been there before. All I know is that Kent lives County Rd 29, fourth on the left, house #5410. Looking at my map, I see a campground and some lesser travelled roads surrounding the lake....we could even drive out on the ice...it'll be a foot thick by now. Kent is friendly with a nieghbour who has access to the lake from his property, but we can't have a bunch of "strangers" parking there. Lemme call Kent and find out exactly what section of the lake he's been riding on. I'll be right back... |

Lornce, Kent can't make it out on Sunday. I've lined up a snowblower for us to use, if you have a good shovel or snow-scoop we are going to need it. The wind is picking up tonight, so hopefully it will blow some snow off the lake. On the flip side, I've heard it cost $10 to ride on the Oshawa Competition Motorcycle Clubs track http://www3.sympatico.ca/ocmc/ and they are having a six hour endurance race soon. Their track is on Lake Scugag...about two hours away. |

Hey Caboose, Let's do Guelph Lake this Sunday and keep Skugog in mind for another time. Shoveling a 1/4 mile oval?!? Surely we'll find a clean patch on that wind swept lake..... won't we? Gonna be fun!!! |

Here's the plan. Sunday morning 9:00 my buddy Marc will pick-up the snowblower from my place, head up to the lake and start the cleaning the track. I pick you up around 10:00, we leave straight from your place with maybe a quick stop at Timmy's. Kent can't come out but he's gonna let Marc use his CRF. Marc is French, crazy and has experience on the ice so maybe he can give us some pointers. Can't wait to get out there I'm pumped! Lornce, have you a digital camera? |

man, I feel so out of the loop! (No computer for the last while). I realize this is last minute, but guelph may be a bad idea. It is a GRCA conservation area, which prohibits recreational vehicles. so you may end up with a fine or two. And yes, hwy 124 does run through guelph lake. If you still want to give it a try, the only entrance areas I know of (that you can get a bike through) are the boat club, and the camp grounds. unfortunately both organizations will prove unhelpfull. I'll see if I can talk to the owners of the marina at puslinch, the snowmobiles are out there all winter, so it shouldn't be a big deal to add a bike Chris

We had a good day today. I learned two things. One - my newly aquired digital camera does not like cold weather, two - the 5\16th hex-head screws in my tires don't work so well. |

Lornce, just had a falling out with my ice tire contact. Call me for the details (I don't care to air them here) if necessary. Meanwhile I'm re-formulating my own ice racing tire prototype. They won't be CMA legal but who cares, I'm not racing this year anyway. |
