Thanks for the flashback. Last time I rode those roads was '75 - '77. There aint nothin like riding that area when it's nice out. Like a slice of Heaven. Similar rides exist clear down below Salem and beyond. I live on the "dry side" now and have found some very nice roads herabouts. Care to come to the dry side sometime? Good times! |

I can't believe the Rock Creek Tavern sold out to McMinimums. It was a great place. Maybe it still is. Did you ever know The Wooden Eye Pub in Hillsboro/ Cornelius, back in the day? |

Actually probably will make it out towards that area this summer, or at least close. Will probably make a run to Baker city. No I am not familiar with the wooden eye pub. Sounds interesting though. |

It was a biker bar back in the day (I am an old fart). I was in Baker today on business. Sunny, 43 degrees. Not bad for February. |

I just contacted Crater Lake National Park. The Loop will be open this summer and no plans to close. I'm working on a ride in Aug. Date will adjust to the number of people that will ride. |

The in laws (who suck) live right by the Rock Creek tavern. It's still pretty popular with the chrome crowd, but not the same. The building burned down about five years ago and was rebuilt in "New Mcmenamins" style. Look at the telephone pole on the patio to see how hot the fire was... |

Sweed; Just took the time to watch your vid. Well ridden Sir! I'm becoming concerned about my ability to keep up with you. I'm particularaly impressed buy how you held lane position as if on a set of rails. (Only drifted in on one increasing radius right hander and I do the same thing on that turn!) Cant wait for a track day together, but I suspect your going to burn me down... SPRING IS IN THE AIR! |

I know. Right hand turns are my worst. Also not sure if you noticed a small import coming towards me at a high rate of speed and freaked me out a little right at triple turns. I was hoping to nail those better if I had not been on defense. I was just waiting for them to blow their line. |

"Right hand turns are my worst." Are you by chance right handed? I'm left handed and left hand turns are my worst. I've heard a few times that is the case with turning, something with the dominant hand being away from you or something like that. Anyone heard of this? Or, feel free to bust the myth. |

Kelly-Yes I am. Sorry we weren't able to hook up this weekend. I tried emailing you the link to the meet up spot. It wasn't too far away from your place. Keep checking the Saturday ride thread. SlimDave also leads a ride on the second Sunday of every month. |

Nice Dave! I would have gone if it wasn't snowing at my house. So instead I took the wheels off my FZ1 and then had some Diablos mounted today. Got 9400 miles out of my Pilot Roads. Graham he can put the XB12SS pegs on. They are 1" lower then the standard XB12S. |
