Nuts, The Kayak is on the backburner for the moment. I have shifted gears. You know me man. Made the mistake of walking into the Verizon store Friday night and came out with this phone that plays music, games, real internet browser and best of all full length high quality movies. The learning curve was steep but I think I got it mastered now. Charlie, Did you feed the gator a cat since he came to see you? You need to let me borrow him to get rid of a few dogs up at the club. Tank, Your a closet gadget freak like me. Go check out the Blackberry Storm. Its da' bombdiggity! I like it better than the Iphone. |

A blackberry for the dude who can't be bothered to carry his cell-phone. Tank, I have the inclination to trailer Suzi dirt down to Suches and ride it most of the week. Come Saturday there will be plenty a Buell to enjoy. I hear there is some prime DS country down that way. NUTS |

Nuts, I heard that same rumor, but I gotta roll hard frontin' fo ma peeps. you dig? J/K If the trailer wasn't full, I would throw both in there and join ya. Why don't you trailer both? |

If Huckleberry's on a trailer something has gone seriously wrong. I couldn't stand looking in the rearview to see it snarling at me. |

Nuts, here's a link to the HRH MB thread: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/37/ 405979.html?1235166771 Mike and I are going Sunday 3/22 - 3/29, for the week. Looks pretty empty until Friday. We should be able to accommodate though. Price, not sure yet. A quick guesstimate would be $30/night or less. Not sure how it's going to break down with most folks showing for fri/sat night only. Mike and I each paid half, so the joint is paid for already. I don't care if I end up paying more since I'm there all week. I just want it to be reasonable for everyone else. |

Nuts, Why didn't you text me and send me a Share Pix of your encounter with The Man? What use is this phone if you refuse to participate in the world of technology it has opened up for me. This week I have learned how to 1.Rip DVDs 2.Format them into various different files 3.Surf the WWW whilst sitting in the woods 4.Save Youtube videos and format them for various purposes. 5.Rediscovered the wonders of Donkey Kong 6.Watch a movie while waiting on my oldest daughter to finish a freakin' date Gentlemen, technology is a WONDROUS thing!! |

Oh my Nuts! Add #7 to the list I just learned how to use the satellites to triangulate the temps and wind at the honey hole while I ain't even there! Now I just need to figure out how to get it to show me if anything comes through there and I won't even have to get out of my bed. |

Technologically speaking, I rode my chock-full-o-tech Cannondale mountain bike through the woods of Carvins Cove yesterday. With winds of 20mph and snow flurries it was rather interesting. One of the riders in the group managed to bail his ride in a hidden creek within 5 mins of starting the trail. By the time we got back to my truck his shorts were frozen stiff! Can these those Blackberry things send out enough radiation to warm a body up? Speaking of radiation; I hear these wondrous doohickey's can grow a tumor like nobody's business! enjoy. NUTS |

Nuts, That ain't nothing. Some of the jumps we used to take made those look like ant hills. The one I told you about where I went off the cliff was massive compared to that. Course' it did take a year to heal from that experience and somewhere along the way I lost my balls to try it anymore. Exposed bone tends to make one rethink if the benefits outweight the risks. |

The Uly is beginning to emerge from the winter doldrums. Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes... windshield and pegs are in the works. I'm going to build a set of swingarm/fork sliders for it this week. Tank, you interested in a set? I'm sure I can get some pink wheels for ya! I'm going with the smallest skateboard wheels I can find in the hardest durometer. Combined with SS hardware it should keep my expensive parts shiny and unscratched. The set I had on my first Uly saved my bacon on several occasions. I'm thinking I can build a set for $20. That's $50 cheaper than the mot-specific offerings. NUTS Hey Charlie, it's going to be 60ish tomorrow. Prime Buell weather for a spin up the BRP. |

Nuts, Go and enjoy, it's going to be in the mid seventies here. But I'm up to my butt in helping out at the track this week. We have tons of Pro-riders renting the track everyday this week in preparation for Daytona. |

So take to the STREET!! WOOHOO!!! We got about 3-5. Hard to tell with it blowing all over the place. Too bad the Jeep is parked safely in the garage, minus one upper control arm(of 4). What a total pain in the azz changing a couple of bushings can be!!!(should have paid the $600 the dealer wanted) |

Tank, I have spent many an hour underneath a perfectly working suspension. Thank your lucky stars you are replacing stock parts. Anyhoo, we're getting close to MB. Looks like we are heading down Wednesday but might only make it to NC. maybe ride 129 that afternoon and Thurs morning. Stayin at the cabin Thurs for sure Friday maybe. Looks like your going to have a bunch piling in friday night. What do you think? I'll be heading North some time Saturday, planning on spending Sunday somewhere closer to home. |

Stock parts....haha! I'm not sure the rubber bushings were meant to be replaced individually! The lower(larger) bushings were press-fit into a sort of steel sleeve, which was pressed into the control arms. The upper bushings were vulcanized(glued/melted) into the sleeve things, which were then pressed into various fixtures on the pumpkin(L) and axle housing(R). Here's the real pisser.... I set out on this project per the advice from the dealer during state inspection.... But NONE OF THE BUSHINGS WERE "BAD"!!!! AAAAHHHHHH. They were dirty and ugly, but tight. Check out this thread about food at Smoky Mt HD in Maryville TN. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/406 2/439236.html?1236059993 Looks like we might head up that way Thursday, unless they don't do the food! I don't think "piling in" is going to be a real issue, as long as some don't mind a cozy bag on the floor(I don't). Mike and I will likely pack up and bail early Sunday. I think Mike has to work Monday morning, plus we'll have to vacate the cabin by a certain time anyhow. You decide between trailer/Uly? |

Uly, no trailer, fellow sensible rider in tow. If all goes to plan, I'll come home and have to do the 10k service on Huckleberry. I'm considering letting the dealer do the service($390) because it involves a fork oil change(which I don't think it needs) and gives me a launch pad for the rotor replacement and muffler rusting issues. Got my laminar Lip in yesterday and it is sweet! Can't wait to get it installed and tested. Charlie, whatcha say? ready for Daytona? Funny how the Turtledover get's this new communication device and can't be bothered to give his 'ole buddy a call. |

Nuts, What's with the laminated lip?Is this something to prevent frost bite. We had bunches of Pro Riders this week for practice at the track.I been heppen out the owner at the track. Just got my bikes running to day, been sitting all winter(chased all the spiders and field mice out of the exhaust pipes)No improvements since last year, other than remote starter on both bikes. No more push starting and messing up my ribs. |

Jackson, When you say "ripping DVD's" do you mean ripping off? Because that's just as illegal as hunting on Sunday. Haven't you seen the FBI warning. How's the plan working out? and when are we going fishin? Charlie, yeah, try to keep those ribs from being bruised up this season. The laminar Lip is intended to make the 10k miles I have planned for this summer go a bit easier. Kind of like a wind-foil for the stock screen. I have got to ride across Kansas in August and that windblast combined with the lack of curves was just too much to bear. I figured, I'd take care of what I can control. Just settled dates for our trip to Maine and points north at the end of May. Heading down to N.Georgia at the end of this month. Out to Colorado and who knows how far west in August. Throw in a few long weekenders on each bike and I should be having tire changes about every other month. It's good to be da king! |

Fishing shall be soon my brutha' if I can lure you away from the Siren like call of the Cannondale. Spawn should hit in roughly 4 weeks and they will be stacked up along the banks. Gotta get us a few more minnow traps or find us a reliable bait shop since ours went up in flames. Eagle Eye Annie is chomping at the bit to get out there and wear out some Smallies. Have you talked to No Luck Chuck to see if he's ready to catch a few roe laden monsters? You know, I may have to give them the test like last year to see if they are full of eggs |
