OK Harry, we all know that's not possible so I guess I'll keep my appointment @ Ridge H-D/Buell for some new skins on Friday! I'm going to try the Pirelli Strada tires that come stock on the XB12XT model, supposed to be better mileage (I only get 4-4.5K out of stock Uly rear) and still have good grip. Saturday will probably tell on that whole grip thing! Brian | ||

LOL...I already need suspension upgrades...no BIG motor yet...high compression 515 kit, cams, good head...LaFayette gets my stock stuff so he can get his Blast running...BUT...I have a whole spare bottom end to play with in the future...I'm thinking 44ci stroker (I have a line on a ex-Bonneville racer 600cc top end...if the crank don't cost so much I'll need to ask the president for a modification bail-out. | ||

Yeah, Saturday was a relaxing ride, I like the Strada's so far. Went riding with some guys on Sunday too, did over 300 miles by the time I got home! We took the long way to Webster for b-fast, then to the Brooksville/Dade City area, rode a lot of roads I've never seen before. I'm already jonesing, this driving a company truck all week is for the birds! | ||

O.K., here we go. Sorry it's a bit late. I was sick most of last week. Once again, a bit chilly. Heavy jacket time.  Uly's cast long shadows.... Tall guys only please. Don's an exception!  Time to kill some bugs. If it was warm enough for the bugs!  Oh, this is a good sign....  These were fun.  Hot blind corner! Yes!  Luke, I am your Father.  Who put a stop light in the middle of our ride?   Red light....grrrrr.  Mmmm, delicious.  Before the other small group showed up.  After the small group showed up and just before the Harley near the end tipped over. That was weird. Could have knocked us all over. Lucky.  Yeah, y'all are the little dots on the bottom. I dig the water towers. Stand for our past connections to railroads and simpler times.  It was the same one twice, right?  Nick loved somebody....  Again nostalgic for simpler times. When the stewardes' where all knockouts. And you could smoke on the flight. And no TSA! Almost home.  Once back at the corral, Don got to show off his mount for the next ride! Police escort! No John, no big bore yet...it is taking longer than I thought to get all the parts and supplies I need in a single pile so I can do it all at once...but I'll get there. Man it was nice yesterday...went for a good long ride...had to try out the most recent set of handlebars...put on some with a bit more pullback...much better for those straight stretches of road...stopped by the Buell store and checked out a XB12scg...it is just barely low enough for me to ride it...met a guy riding one of the new XR1200's...I had not seen one in person...with the ugly pipes off and a clean 2 into 1 pipe it looked good...real genuine front suspension and brakes!!! much taller than it looks in the pictures! Was going to Barbersville for the AMA Hot Shoe flat track races, but just found out that they have been cancelled. I may ride up on Thursday night to the AMA Pro flat track at the municipal stadium, usually get home about 1-2 AM. Pretty cool though, you can blast down Die-4 through Orlando and there is minimal traffic. | ||

My business partner, myself and a friend are riding over on Thursday (March 5th) for the day from the New Port Richey area. We will be meeting at around 7am at the Hess at the corner of US41 and SR52. We will stop for breakfast at the Flying J truck stop at 52 and 75 before heading out. From there we will ride north to Hwy 50 then east to Groveland. We'll take Route 19 north through Howie in the Hills, then head through Eustis and get on 44 east. We will take that to Deland and then get on 92 into Daytona. We will probably spend most the day at the Speedway going through the manufacturers tents and maybe a quick ride down to Main St before heading back around 5pm. Anyone care to join us? Alright, So I'm gonna make it down to FL in the middle of next week, I have a place in North Port, probibly not to far from some of you. Just wondering if anybody would mind showing me and my buddy some good roads down there in Sunny fla. Most of the ones I know are st8 and flat! Are there corners down there? Also, not sure what day we plan on hitting up Daytona- but it would be sweet to have a nice Buell ride in as well! (to bad my buddies on a ZX6-r, ha) | ||

There are some twisties in Florida...but NOTHING like other places...the sections are pretty short...so you have to string a bunch of them together to make a day of it. But it is possible to have a pretty good time of it...the positive side is the roads are by and large in excellent condition. | ||

Klinc, Aeholton is taking a very nice route to Daytona on Thursday, not sure what day you are getting in. You will have to ride a ways up 75 to meet up with him but the route he is taking is worth the ride. | ||

What ever days you'll are at DAYTONA be sure to stop by the parking lot in front of the BEST BUY across from the Speedway every day at 12N to 12:15 PM ... You never know who may show up ??? | ||

Kevin and I are heading over Tuesday morning from Groveland. We'll be at the Speedway most of the day, but do plan to stop at the Ocean Center. If anyone wants to meet up and ride together, please let me know. For anyone traveling 50/19, all of the police (Mascotte,Groveland,Howey,Countyand State)are out in force. I've seen then stopping bikes for failing to come to a complete stop at a stop sign while cars were doing the same right in from of them. Ride Safe | ||

So, UPS F*cked me...My new surround for my muffler is 45 minutes away in a warehouse and I can't get to it till monday. There is also talk of a snowstorm monday- so it may push my departure date from tomorrow to tuesday!!! ARRRRRRR That should put me in fl thursday at the latest. I'll be in touch- |
