Sanchez, Glad your back in town, I pulled up in the drive way at 11 last night from Jennings. Didn't make it to the track, sorta sucked. Didn't have the time, tires and money. It was hard being a few miles away from JGP and not being able to get my fix, lol! Chris, You got it right "Shelley" When do you have to leave for out of town work? I just ordered some stuff from Fastenal, they've become my new Home Depot, lol! Was hoping for some 3%er help..... I need five people that can volunteer a few hrs on a Sat. or Sun. so I can practice giving a presentation-lecture. I'm testing soon for a instructor position for Lee Parks "Total Control" Advanced Riders clinic I'll provide the lunch and drinks, no alcohol...sorry. All I need is your time and for you to sign off on my practice lectures. They will be on.... Throttle control Vision body position Suspension Concentration Fear I'd should be ready in a 2-3 weeks, let me know who would like to come over. Thanks, Michael (Message edited by shred on February 23, 2009) |

Shred...Hope I can make the lecture! Sanchez... Being close at the end has more value than words. It lets your loved ones know you care. And puts life in perspective when every second counts. Dropping everything to cherish those last moments says a lot about a man. My condolences. |

hi everybody, what did I miss? Been busy the last few weeks with a new job and am still trying to get into the swing of things again. Work still sucks........ But in my time away from a real job, I had time to work on things that really mean something in life, like making beer! I'm happy to announce that this past weekend was the Peachstate Brewoff and I had entered 2 beers for competition (coverthops.com) I am more than pleased to brag that both of my beers placed in there categories. My Northern Brown Ale took 2nd and my German Wheat beer took 1st ! Finally I can say I am better at making it than I am drinking it..... |

In case any of you folks are in the mountains tomorrow(geeze, later today), watch for BadWeB Rpm4x4 and friend passing through. He's planning a Suches loop and on to the dragon, per his "Open invitation" thread on Quick board. Rotzaruck! |

Deadduck... Congrats on the beer! I motion for a 3%er Taste Test. It is required before you can get the coveted Seal of Approval. |

Sound good .. I'll be at the house all day. Let me know when you want to drop by. looks like we'll have rain for the next few days so I won't be out riding. Hope your feeling better. Wife and I were both sick last week. I had to take a day off work and just rest. Never did find the manual. It's here .. somewhere. |

Russ, I'm doing all grain, the only DME I used was a partial mash for a Hoeggarden clone, the wife really liked it but the cost of DME is outragous. doing all grain pays for the equipment involved, plus you have a little more control of the end product. |

Cool. I didn't realise that there was that much of a price difference between the two. Once I get a keg system, I may start again... I despise bottling LOL. |

I kinda like bottling, it gives me and Laurie a little time in the basement away from the kids to talk and whatever else. here lately we've been bottling weekly, so i recon I can say that beer has brought my family together too. My son helps me brew and my wife helps me bottle, and my daughter rides her tricycle around the basement while I brew. The price difference is about half. A DME grain bill for a 5 gallon batch is about 35 to 40 dollars, my grains for a 5 gallon batch of brown ale I'm brewing tomorrow was 14 dollars. a pack of yeast is 7.50 but if you brew a particular style back to back you can re-use the yeast from a previous batch and cut that cost completely out. |

Why is no one excited about March Badness this year? Is it because everyone's broke? Is it because we aren't involved in the planning or running anymore? Do we all just miss Clown? |

Why is no one excited about March Badness this year? I am. Is it because everyone's broke? I am. Is it because we aren't involved in the planning or running anymore? Not at all. I wasn't planning on helping this year anyway. I wanted/want to enjoy the event at my schedule, without having to worry about what time it is. Nothing against SMHD, I just want to have a non-schedule. Do we all just miss Clown? Like no one else! No one, I mean no one knows how to generate excitement to way Cam does. Plus he's a one of a kind friend as well. |

> I am. Ok, I'm putting you in charge of the countdown clock then. You always find some cool application or graphic. Who else is in? So far I see - Sanchez - Glitch - Smoke - Ratyson (maybe) - Odie - Stealthxb - New12r (maybe just coming up during the day) - Riding_tall Who else is in? What's everyone's schedule looking like? I took Friday off so I can show up and pitch my tent early. Are we staking out our usual spot? Is anyone staying in the trailer this year? |
