I'm already there, will be through March. I'm coming back to the States for most of April, then back to Japan for May-August. I live in Hiroshima, about a 20 minute walk from Peace Park. And Newfie, you're missing the point - it's not that I would be home and would just opt out of the trip - I most likely will still be in Japan when you guys leave Michigan (hell, maybe when they leave Newfoundland to return, too). I'm expecting to be here for the full 90 days my visitor's pass allows, which means May 6th or 7th, returning the second week of August. edited by darthane on January 14, 2004 |

I am certainly going to be in Japan somewhere MAy-August. Having no money to speak of will probably keep me from staying more than a month but I wouldn't mind going back to Hiroshima again. Maybe we'll see each other. |

Hey, if you come this way, let me know. I'll be going to Tokyo for at least one weekend in that time-frame as well, so if you're someplace in between the two we could probably still manage to get together. |

Last time I was there I bicycled from Narita to Osaka then took the denshya down to Hiroshima, I go where the winds blow. This summer is my summer of travel as I might not be able to avoid graduating before the next summer. Japan, Newfoundland, Austin, Indianapolis... I had to apologize to my friend that I couldn't go to Europe with her because I didn't have the time what with all my vacationing. Responsibility is gonna hit me hard some day. Jyaa mata. |

How many folks/where at do we have looking at this. I'm in M'waukee and am 95% sure I'm going. When I started writing this post it was 75% but the more I typed the more certain I became that I'm going. I'm pretty sure Spidey/Ann Arbor is goin' so that's 2 and I think the further east the more people are saying they're going. So add yourself to the list if you're going. I and my wife will be there; we're coming up from central Massachusetts. Anybody who wants to link up with us is welcome. Right now, it's -4 degrees F, over 150 cities and towns have cancelled school tomorrow because the wind chill is supposed to exceed -40. You bet I'm looking forward to some summer traveling. |

Dennis/Green Bay,WI/????% Things have changed around here the last week. For some ungodly reason, I decided that it was time to settle down. Yep, gettin' hitched. It will probably be sometime in July of this year (no, she not pregnant). Unlike Shazam, there is no way in hell she'll let this trip be a honeymoon. That being said....I REALLY want to make this trip!!!!!! |
