Some of us(sam and I) are having a VERY hard time getting to the V on thursday, one is time, the other is $$$. we were thinking about hitting a more local spot for the gwinnetians, like maybe Taco Mac at the Mall of Ga? Just throwing it out there... |

Hey all - I'd like to respond to the "different" regarding March Badness this year. The only thing different is Buell is requiring us to use more employees regarding lead & sweep riders. Its an insurance issue. This is actually good news for 3%'ers as you guys will have more free time to demo the bikes and ride on your own. Feel free to contact me directly if you have questions. Thanks so much and see you in a few weeks!! Rita Rogers Stone Mountain Harley-Davidson & Buell 404 665 7222 cell rita@stonemountainhd.com |

Rob Zombie is shooting the new Halloween movie in Covington!!! Lets go watch. That ROCKS!!! For you guys, at least... I'd absolutely love to check something like that out. Unfortunately the only time in the near future I plan on being 'in the area' is for March Badness, 1313 |

We're (Shelley and I) are rolling to the V' It's been at least since 2007 since we've been do to the V' Really haven't missed it, thought it would be fun like old times. Hope the service is better, lol! I agree the ride is shorter but Taco Mac's but their prices aren't like Taco Bells. |

This week has been rough. I was scheduled to speak at an industry conference in San Francisco today, but I find myself in Texas instead. My grandfather was hospitalized Saturday, and I very nearly canceled my travel plans then. He seemed to be improving Sunday, though, so I took the flight. After I arrived in California Monday evening, my mother called to tell me grandpa took a turn for the worse. I dropped what I was doing and left for Houston early Tuesday morning. I went straight to the hospital where I met the rest of my family, and I spent the night in his room with him. They had him sedated, and I don't know if he heard my goodbyes, but I like to think he did. Yesterday afternoon we gave the doctors permission to unhook him from the machines that kept him breathing. He only hung on for a few minutes more. He was ready to go. We stood with him and held his hands and stroked his hair. Grandma told him she loved him, gave him one last kiss, and whispered "till death do us part." At that, he drew his last breath and passed away. Watching him die felt horrible, but at the same time it was beautiful to see him surrounded by so many people who loved him. He lived a long, full life and passed without regrets. |

Wow, Sanchez. So sorry to read about your grandfather's passing. I'm in tears now after reading the second paragraph, especially the part about your grandma, but how wonderful that he was able to let go with his loved ones by his side. You will be in my thoughts! |

Sanchez - what a beautiful tribute to your Grandfather. He was surrounded by people who loved him enough to let him go. With your Grandmother's words, she told him that all would be OK and that she would see him again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this sad time. |

Sanchez, We're sorry the terrible news, you and your family will be in ours thoughts. (Message edited by shred on February 19, 2009) |

Sanchez - Sorry about your loss. The wife and I are headed out. Just got to figure out where the vortex is. Of course I want to ride but the wife was a little hesitant about that because of the cold but decided to ride. Looking forward to meeting some more of the group. I'd like to meet out with some of group before we get there as I have no idea where I'm going. I'm in the L'ville area. (Message edited by riding_tall on February 19, 2009) |

Ok .. day late and a dollar short. I ended up being way late. Shred waited for me for a long time but Stone Mnt. Hwy being closed really slowed me down. Ended up going downtown but still got lost. Wife and I ended up eating at the landmark cafe downtown. Thinking about doing a pre-march badness, I know I won't get lost going to it BBQ at my house on 14th of March - ( Saturday ) |

What a cold ride home, but worth it. Black and Blue burger strikes again, with a Irish Car Bomb to wash it down with was nice. We got seated in 30 min. Their were only about 12 or so bikes but they were busy as always and the parking lot was full. Had people lined up waiting for tables. Got our drinks within five min. and food in 20 min Eric, We'll meet up soon, theirs always next time. BBQ......count us in. 78 was still shut down on the way home at 10:15pm Nice meeting you Chris, glad you made it out. Glad you made it out Adam, nice to see you riding the Uly. That was funny as sh_t that you found me on sitting in traffic. (Message edited by shred on February 19, 2009) (Message edited by shred on February 19, 2009) |
