hello, I think I need a battery tender, lately every time I start my bike the clock resets & the miles traveled, the odometer is about the only thing that works. either the battery is dying or these short trips to and from work are killing it. so what kind of battery tender do you guys use? is any old cheapy from walmart or wherever worth the 20 bucks or should I get something more substantial? |

Battery Doc. It's small enough to take on trips and comes in a little nylon case with different terminal ends in case you want to hardwire a convenient connection. |

Learned something new this weekend. My wife and I were out riding Saturday and stopped by Low Country HD/Buell to check on some cycle boots for her. After searching high and low in the apparel section I was finally told that boots were sold at the Hush Puppy store at Tanger outlet mall. Say what? Went across the street instead to Cycle Gear and saw some nice waterproof, black touring boots from Alpinestar and almost bought them, but the wife (aka The Shopper) wanted to check out Champion Honda down the street. Same boots were $30 less and they actually had her size! Looks like they sold out of Buells at Low Country. |

Jim- that's a little scary about no Buells. Hopefully this is only temporary. Eryc- Good luck. It might not be a good weekend to try; it's supposed to be rainy and cool. |

I am attempting to shoot again in the morning. Maybe painting on Friday the 13th is not much better of an idea... |

Hey Hugh or Matt, You guys know where I might find a 15mm or 19/32-inch drill bit around here? Installing a Touratech GPS mount and need to drill two 15 mm holes in the plastic dash. |

Thanks Matt and Hugh. The biggest jobber bit I could find was 9/16ths. I'm sure 15mm bits hang from trees in Germany and I can order one online, but what surprised me was none of the tool places around here had a 19/32nds. If you guys can't find one, I'll check Metro Tools in N. Chuck tomorrow when they open. |

Hugh & Matt - you can call off the search. I used a 9/16ths inch bit and took the last 1-2/32nds off with a round Dremel sanding bit. BTW, Metro had a 19/32nds bit at the bargain price of only $25! Riding to Greenville Friday morning around 11. |

Im thinking i might sell the bubs pipes. They sound great, but there was a big lack of oomph when i took it up to 5k rpm the other day (only reason i was riding was i had to get parts since my trucks engine was in peices) After 5k she ran outta steam very quickly. Im thinking they will end up on ebay fairly soon, maybe. They sound so good though. |

You bet I was busy. I was in the shop till 5 am the other morning finishing up spraying. I was trying to beat the humidity. And before that, I sanded the entire bike back down. Oh and BTW, I did a dyno run on it Monday. I will post the dyno map after I get it scanned. |

Eryc- The one photo you sent looked awesome. It was pretty funny when my wife's phone buzzed as we were sitting there chilling in the living room yesterday. She looks at it, looks at the phone number, looks up at me and says something to the effect of "WTF is sending me a photo of a Buell?" |
