Greetings! this is the first I've ventured out of the "thumper forum", I was beginning to wonder if anyone else in Ontario knew what a buell was. I bought my first bike this spring (buell blast) and after 14,000 kms, feel its about time to make a few mods. Can any of you recommend a good shop? My bike lives in puslinch over the winter, I live in Kitchener. I noticed a new Buell/HD sign off the 401 between Milton and Missisauga, but apparently it's just a distribution center... Rocky's is a bit far, and with a long wait (not that that matters now, I guess). Thankyou in advance, Chris Oh, and in regards to finding a lake, Puslinch lake would be your best bet, It has no inlets, and is not very deep, causing it to freeze quickly. |

Chris, How're you doing? You've sure put some klicks on that Blast... 14k km!?! Good on ya! Jacox's new HD/Buell facility is what you've seen from the 401. Have never been but thought it was a full blown dealership, not a distribution centre. Puslinch Lake it is... You gonna stud up that Blast? BTW, the KTM's for sale.... I've seen a C440 Cannondale I'd like to snag. It never ends.... Lornce |

"you gonna stud up the blast?" Is there anything else to do with them? I plan on doing what I can, knowledge is my weakness, this is the first bike I've seen up close. It's kinda tricky, seems all the mods talked about online are not readily available in Canada, mabe I'm just looking on the wrong places? Is there anywhere around here that would compare to what "nallin racing" does? I would love to see my blast as a 600.....

Sno, If you're serious about hopping up your Blast, get in touch with Don Morris at Stay Tuned Systems Inc. You can reach him at (905)679-2237 or staytuned@sympatico.ca There's no website for Staytuned, he's too busy at the flowbench, milling machine or dyno etc. Don can take your engine to whatever level you want to go. He's the real deal and a good guy to boot. You'll drool when you see his racing X1 Buell. later man, Lornce |

AS this is Don's first blast in the shop, he's giving me a GREAT deal, thanks for the reference! Sno Hope everyone is able to make it to the bike show this weekend!! |

Attention all Southern Ontario Buell Owners Support Groupies: I've arranged with the Motorcycle Supershow organizers to have our own club booth at the show.... Call me crazy. Anyhow, we need to fill it with 5-7 cool and shiny lookin motorcycles. No problem, right? I've done these shows before, and I can tell you they're a pile of fun if you like yakin with other motorcyclists. John, Jason, Kahoon, Sno, Brett... whaddaya say? Think I'll get in touch with Don too, see if he'd like to display his X1 racer.... Yah never know??? This orta be fun, lads. Lornce |

I'm finally back in action....the new computer arrived yesterday, still sorting out new e-mail addresses etc. with sympatico. The show sounds like fun, unfortunately I'm leaving for North Bay January 1st. I'll be back on the 5th. Lornce, is your dirtbike ready for ice racing? My CRF is set to go. I used about 600 hex-head screws to buy some traction on the ice. I've got a line on some proper ice tires, $100 for the set. They are only studded on the left side though. Hopefully when I return on the 5th there will be enough ice to go for a ride. laters.. |

Hello Lornce et al, Been away, been working, been away, but read all the messages. Lornce; if you want to take your S3,S2,Scetera, no problem. My S3 won't turn green with envy ! Enfield and/or Beemer, whatever you think will round out your display. Both are far from shiny, though, and it is not good bike cleaning/polishing weather- unless you keep your bikes in the living room ! Cheers, Brett

Brett, Not so fast, we need your S3 too! You see, we're having a Southern Ontario Buell Riders Support Group booth as well as the Airhead's booth. We've got a 10x50 space we need to fill with as many Buells as we can. Your RS would be a great addition to the Airhead's booth too. Thanks for the offer. Here's the catch.... I'm looking to be busier than I'd first thought, so I may need a little help setting up the booths. The set-up hours are: Tues. Dec. 30 Noon til 12 midnight Wed. Dec. 31 8:00am til 4:00pm Fri. Jan. 2 8:00am to 9:30am I'm likely available on Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon. I'll be in touch. John, Jason, Kahoon?!? Are you guys interested? It'd be a hoot and a good way to combat the winter bikeless blahs. Talk to me, boys. Merry Christmas, Lornce |
