Yeah you guys Merry Christmas a day late!! I hope Santa Clause was good/great to everyone! He was to me and brought me some heated gloves to try out on those COLD mornings that I will just have to ride in because the weather will be too nice to pass up. I hope everyone will have a great holiday season and be extremely safe and watch out on the cold tires just in case we actually get the weather to cool off since it decided to warm a little. Im not complaining or anything like that. Oh and have a happy New Year in case I dont make it back to the board by then!! RIDE SAFE!!!!! |

Hello! Do I qualify as a new South Carolina Buell guy? I got the mighty Buell this past Summer. Look forward to meeting & seeing other riders at the motorcycle show coming-up in Greenville this February. Scott Greer, SC |

Welcome Scott. I think you fit the bill as a SCBR. I am going to try for the IMS in Greenville as well. Hope to see you there. |

Scott, I live in Greer as well. After Nevrenuf moved back to Florida, I thought I was the only upstate Bueller. Other than Chris. I just finished my 15,000 mile inspection, well, 3/4's of it. If you see a yellow XB9R with a Drummer, it's me. Welcome! Gary (Message edited by tailspining on January 04, 2009) |

Well, the big clue we have is Matt's been shopping for a new exhaust. Storz is known for building street-trackers. Un-Buell would imply high-mount street tracker pipes. That might be interesting.... BTW- LaFayette sent out the latest SC Buell Rider's e-mail listing this weekend. I replied to all with a suggestion we plan a meet around the International Motorcycle Show in Greenville, SC this February. We could make a weekend of it, hit some of the twisties in the area and go to the show. Any suggestions beyond that? |

No yosh pipe on this bike, The plan was put on hold since i bought a harley fxrg jacket today wich is much $$$ for a jacket. But, i do want to run a xr750 tail on my bike, with a couple of custom touches to it, and eventually i would love to have dual highmounted pipes. I dont know when it will happen though. |

Nick- that's probably a good plan. Maybe ride up Friday, see show Saturday morning, go for a local ride Saturday afternoon and/or Sunday morning, ride home Sunday afternoon. |

I bought tickets and made reservations right after they announced the thing. Leaving S'ville around noon that Friday to meet a buddy riding down from Louisburg, NC on his Tiger. We hope to be there when the doors open at 4. Staying at the Days Inn about 4 miles away just off 385 & 85. If any of you Lowcountry guys can leave around Friday noon, let me know. |

The Lightning looks very different. By that I mean it is in 177 different pieces and wrapped up in a bunch of paper. Pics to come. |

Hah. An engineer would examine those prints. My dad has a crane company and used to do a lot of structural steel fabrication and erection, so we have a bunch of old prints left over from past projects. Now, they are masking paper. I was gonna finish the clearcoat this weekend, but it looks like it is going to be too cold even with valiant efforts to heat the shop up. It is kind of hard to overcome 20 degree lows. |

"I was gonna finish the clearcoat this weekend, but it looks like it is going to be too cold even with valiant efforts to heat the shop up. It is kind of hard to overcome 20 degree lows." Hey give it a shot. I hear the 'crinkled' look is in style these days... Looks good. Lots of work involved though... |

It is looking like lows in the low teens now. I reckon I am gonna have to put it off for another weekend. I have put wayyyy too much work in this think to go for the "crinkled look." It is unbelievable how much work this actually is. It sucks too because I took a bunch of parts to the powder coater and the powder would not stick unless I had it sanded down to bare metal... that was not worth the work. It seems as though a lot of the smaller hardparts from Buell have an epoxy primer coat. |

Hey folks! Is anyone in the Myrtle Beach area here? And, are y'all totally opposed to a Blast rider hanging out with you occasionally? Honestly, I wouldn't totally blame you if you were but I love my little Blast because it fits me so perfectly. I actually live in Conway, SC. My Dad was the Buell/Harley dealer in this area until 1998 so I grew-up with motorcycles but just recently got back into them. I ALWAYS loved Buells and I remember the first year we became Buell dealers I was enthralled with them. As a matter of fact, he still has a NOS (sort of a leftover from our dealership inventory) S2T with around 200 original miles on it that I would LOVE to have if I was just a little taller. Anyway, I am hoping to get to the IMS in February and I am still somewhat involved in Myrtle Beach Spring Bike Week so maybe I will get to meet some of you at one (or both!) of those places if not before. |

Welcome I used to ride a Blast and no one in this group seemed to mind. It seems all makes/models are welcome here... |
