Nuts, For the love of.............a good valve train. With all the doodads and gizmos you buy to look pretty, you mean to tell me your too cheap to buy good oil for your ride.............I am truly disappointed. |

, I am buying good oil for the Buell. I appreciate your consideration for my valves' well-being too. It seems every STOCK air/oil cooled bike I have ever seen has a tendency to blue pipes. My Dads two BMW's and all three of my Buells. The Lightning blued the least but that was probably due to the Drummer. The bike is a tool that gets repeated use. I would sure enjoy using that tool until it has worn out. Not abuse, intended use. NUTS |

Well my pipes aren't blue but I did pick up a Browning BPS Turkey gun this evening. Dressed in full camo with fiber optic sights. This is the legendary gun that Ithaca modeled their Turkey Slayer after. Ahh the ole' bottom eject is a glorious thing! |

Well guys, Decided to break the agony of sitting in the deerless woods with a fishing trip. Me and a friend pulled up to his secret spot right at 7:00 and the temperature was hovering around 10 degrees in the Highlands. First cast and as I was reeling in ice literally formed right in front of my eyes on the reel as the line went back on. Tom's reel froze up completely which was followed by a rather amusing tantrum being thrown. We stuck with it and ended up catching 4 each and then the snow started. By this point we were both so cold we were shaking uncontrollably and figured we best head on back to Roanoke before the roads got too bad. Once we got back we weighed his 2 biggest and both were citations! Figures he knew exactly what rock they'd be hiding behind. I kept wondering why he wouldn't budge from that one spot but after he pulled the first big one out I knew I had been outsmarted. I can't really say it was fun but it'll definately be a day I'll remember for quite a long time.

Nice fishes! Funny how the net works... I live near Norfolk, and I shoot a bow left handed. You work the deal, and I will check it out/pick it up. But, for a purchase like that, I would buy new, unless you "know the guy". You never know what happened to it. (turns out. I play Wii better lefty also) (Message edited by tank_bueller on December 06, 2008) |

The XT runs great. The little "pop" off idle is all but gone, and (knock on wood) there are no brown spots on the garage floor underneath her. Taking her out for a chilly ride here shortly. I'll get pics when I get back. Inside pass....09' dates aren't posted yet. I NEED to get back to the track! Great time! and free stuff too! http://www.buell.com/en_us/company/events/inside-p ass/requirements.asp |

Charlie, We didn't get anything but rain here in the Noke'. Nuts is up in the Highlands so he might have spotted some of the white stuff. You guys still wearing shorts and Tshirts down that way? It is colder than a witches boobie up here and I'm dreading how cold its gonna be come January and February. I usually don't go for that Farmers Almanac type crap but if this pattern keeps up we are gonna be in the single digits before to long. The winds came late this year too. October was calm and even the beginning of November and then they started picking up. Seems every other day the winds are over 20mph with some days gusting at 30 and 40. I'm starting to wonder if armageddon is upon us. |

Jackie, I'm still running around in a tee shirt.Maybe a long sleeve one in the morning.Only going to be 60 today, might need a sweater this evening.Has to be some advantage to this flat, blood sucking real estate.I don't miss the cold. Have several pro riders coming in this week(temps in the 70's)to practice for Daytona and get the bugs out of the new equipt.Should be fun to watch. |

Nuts, Tried calling but you were ignoring me. If you wanna go with me tomorrow then call me at 12:00 Hows things out your way Tank? Did you max out the plastic at the gun show? Didn't wanna tell Nuts but I'm currently negotiating for a Marlin lever action guide gun in .444 topped with a nice compact Leupold. Should stop just about any deer I run across. He's lusting after one so I feel its my duty to get one and tease him with it. I'm a good friend indeed!! |

The plastic isn't so warm in the pocket anymore, but I managed to show a little restraint and didn't go to the show. Instead, I've been shopping online. .444 dang! Is that supposed to knock down you or the deer? |

Tank, I'll bet it's not something he's going to do a lot of target practice with. Nuts, I don't think I've ever seen squirrels that big,y'all not mixing steroids in with the field corn are ya? Jackie, That thing come with exploding tip ammo(as long as your going for over kill) |

Nuts, I'm good for tomorrow. Call me at 12:00 so we can make sure the wind doesn't change our plans. Charlie, I called them and they said as long as I don't aim at small aircraft then its legal. Come on guys it isn't that big a cartridge. I mean its not like a .500 nitro express or anything |

Hey Jack, You know as long as you got that big Atv.....why not get a gun with some wheels of it's own.Something where you you need a forward spotter(Nuts)Put him out there with a set of field glasses and a walkie talkie. You guys might even make the evening news.Darn this sounds like fun. |

Nuts, The way I was shootin yesterday you'd be a dead man for sure if you were holding the apple. That fiasco was eating me up so I rode up to the club this afternoon and spent 3 hours and 150 rounds trying to figure out the trajectory of this thing. Seems 20 yards is a 1/4in low, 30-40 is dead on, 50-60 an inch or so high and then starts dropping again. Should zero at about 120 yards. Spent a bit of time calculating holdover/under and I think I might have a better showing next time we head out. Groups were pretty good even though the wind was wailing at times and the rain was coming down pretty good. Charlie, He's a party pooper man. I can't even get him to walk through the thickets on the property to drive deer towards my stand. Now thats pretty sorry isn't it? |

Jackie, go get yourself the 77/17MII at Roanoke Firearms. Ammo for $4 a box, save the HMR for Varmints. NUTS Heading to the sunshine state Sunday. Should be back in about a week. And yes, I will be commandeering a bike down there to ride; my brothers just don't know it yet! I know Jackie wants a Gopher tortoise or a armadillo, I'll see what i can do. |

Dang, I could have picked you up a "Dillo" on the way to the track Sat.......It was a little flat, but the right amount of air pressure and....wahlaa, good as new. Nuts, You buy the Big gun and you get to pull the trigger,Jackie can be forward observer. Be careful, he might switch phones and call-in an air strike on ya. |
