Hey All I got on and rode again for the first time since the accident Thursday. Still flash backing but its getting easier. My wife is very concerned now and is trying to limit my time on the Uly. So if I do the Doc Wong and schedule stuff with you wall and stop commuting may be she will come around. You thoughs and prayers are appricated
Dave, PLEASE do the Wong ride with us. Good time to start, I doubt we'll even ride in Dec come by for the lecture portion, see what it's all about then come spring you head will be in the right place! The focus is on teaching skills to PREVENT accidents like the one you unfortuniatly had to see. I'm sure it's hard on you and my thoughts are with you.
This track is AWESOME, PIR is very very tame by comparison. 14 turns with significant elevation changes and off camber corners. Turn 5, called the cyclone is a blind left at the crest of a hill with a quick transition to an off camber right. Terrifying. I'm very glad I rode C group.
Only got three sessions in, track was open but too wet and I cant afford to put on rains. Race rubber is BAD when it's wet, so I spent the first two sessions running very slow, bike was moving around under me a lot! Third session was dry and I wicked it up, but none of my markers worked anymore so it was confusing. Still managed to spin up the rear a couple times. I'll hope for a dryer track tomorrow!
Mark, Dan Batz remembers you and asked about you and if I was one of the PBR guys! Nice to know the club has the recognition of one of the PSSR founders! I'll hit him up on the ride home about a club discount! Perhaps we can get PSSR to sponsor PBR!

Great news! Latus H-D/Buell is giving a set of electric riding gear for each mc purchased during Nov. & Dec. (new or used). Please let anybody you know that's interested contact me, Dave Atkinson and make sure they have your name & ph #. Birddogs are great! Thanks, Slimdave.
I Like T hill, First day of rain sort of broke my heart, but the weather held on the second day. After a couple morning sessions I had Brad film me. I'm riding WAY crossed up, and wasn't getting my head down. Nothing was feeling right and confidence was low so I'd get off the gas early and brake early, coasting up to some of the turns. Took a few minutes to watch the footage and saw how bad things really were, so on the next sessions I worked hard on form and not at all on pace. I spent some quality time with a Buddy (Anthony, who had a few great observations on how I was moving my hips) By the end of the day I was feeling better, but still not on pace. I did have one session where a group of four of us played pretty hard. There was a guy on an R1 and Myself, each being followed by an instructor. We have that on film too, but I don't have a copy yet.
Bike ran great, but I think I have a primary fluid leak. Kept finding oil on the left side of the case. Probably a bad seal and leaning the bike over so much. Never did get tire pressure figured out. I started at 24 PSI in the rear cold and kept having to bump it up hot until I was about 32 hot. I still don't think it was enough, a lot of spalling in a patch about 1" wide on the left. I didn't data log the Fuel at all. Too wet on day one and I had too much else to work on on day two. I RARELY used WOT believe it or not. Sometimes on the front straight or the really get a drive out to clear traffic but that was it. All in all worth the $, I'll do it again next year.
PSSR should have the schedule out in a few months, I'll do as many as I can afford!
Thill Pics. Was suffering from street knee, so nothing came out good. Not the camera's fault though... Look at the rear tire in the last few pics, cranking on it pretty hard. That's at 32 PSI rear (hot)
Confidence was off and nothing felt right. I did a setup change on the bike, finaly tried the 1" higher pegs, I think it had me more bunched up on the bike and made it feel loose every time I shifted my weight. I was NOT moving my body arround well. Oh well, More track days to come!
I ordered it over two weeks ago, No call from parts yet to see if it's in.. I may call them today. I'll be slightly peeved if it's in and they haven't called.
Dave- After hearing the 6HP increase results on the Dyno from your shop guys I pulled my inner airbox out and put the K&N #33-2207 (Ford Explorer filter). I could not find the 33-2370.
I ended up putting slits between each row to get it to fit properly all the way across.
