SandBlast- The show does actually have some vendors selling some stuff. Some manufacturers will have Demo rides. They usually have some insanely talented trials rider doing a demonstration. That stuff is all good & well - but the REAL reason for me to go is to hang out with a bunch of kooky Buelligans... -Saro |

Ferris, Try 626.355.7058 The discussion on wheel straightening was on the WSMC discussion board - http://ducatitech.com/bbs/viewtopic.php?t=167 This discussion started in earnest after Clinton Whitehouse blew his front wheel to bits at about 150 going down the front straight just as he was starting to brake for Turn 1.

Dr. Steve is going to make a rare So. Cal. appearence this Saturday Nov. 29th. Does anybody have idea for a route for the ride? I know it's last minute but, hopefully we can a decent amount of riders to attend. |

Bunch of us were already talking about putting together a casual group of sportbike-types (no racer wanna-bees) to do a Malibu Canyon/Mulholland type run either Friday or Saturday (weather depending) - few are coming down from Ventura/Oxnard area. Probably meet up at the Rock Store. If you have something more specific, we can start setting plans in concrete. As it is, we just started talking. (OK, for the ignorant here - ME - who is Dr. Steve?) |

it's "dr.", not "Dr.", and whether you need a drummer for your rock band, some mega-KW high-tension leads strung across a remote mountain-top, or a very thorough but oh-so-intimate bimanual pelvic examination, dr. Steve is The Man. i am NOT worthy |

Ferris and Denise can you make it down to So. Cal. that weekend? Slaughter, Malibu sounds ok,But Palomar or Big Bear are also being consider. Malibu might be the best as far as central location for most riders. I think we should go were ever we going to have the biggest turn out. Malibu just might be it. |

Ferris, Here's another guy doing frame and wheel straightening that a BUNCH of the WSMC racers referred me to - Dr John. I'm going to have him do the frame straightening on my racebike - even though it looks straight, laying it down at over 120 can't have done it any good. Besides a bunch of the racers have said that from the factory it's rare to find a straight frame out of the box. http://www.drjohnsmfs.com/index_1.html |

Donald, No definite plans yet. Kinda vaguely discussed stopping by the Rock store for food but beyond that, nothing has been set in stone. This is still wide open. Narrowed down to either Friday or Saturday. |

Donald, I would of liked to join you guys for a ride this weekend, unfortunately yesterday something jumped in front of me and forced me into doing a unplanned stoppie. Me & bike ended up falling on the left side, It was very minor/embarrassing and I just banged my knee up a little. The bolt held up well, it shattered a peg but I ended up bending my tail a bit and breaking one of the four brackets bolting the frame to the rear tail sub frame. I’m getting it fixed next Monday, thanks for the link Slaughter, I took it to Dr John today and he will be doing the work. All in all my bikes is running well and its only costing me $150 dollars to repair, but I dont want to stress the subframe and risk more damage till its fixed. Hope to ride with you guys at a later date. Victor

Victor!!! FAWCK!! I can't crash for another 2 months - it's not in the budget! Glad to hear you're mostly OK and still have all your personal body parts intact and are only fixing the cheap stuff. See you soon - November and December we have no official BRAG rides because of the Holidays |

By the way, we're leaning toward Saturday for our ride this weekend. A couple folks are not sure if they can get Friday off so since it has to happen - we're just making it happen on Saturday. Not sure where/when to meet up since we have folks riding from Ventura, Palmdale, and the LA/Orange County areas. I am waiting for the Venturans to finish talking it out amongst themselves. Stay tuned... |
