Bingo!!! That's Numero Uno. 2004 ST1300 if Honda fixes the heat and wallowing problems is second. 2004 FJR1300 is third if available. Late model ST1100 is the only used bike on the list. Sorry Dyna...No Beemers. My X1 is more reliable and definitely more fun with all the mods and upgrades |

BMW-lack-of-trouble-status is quickly reaching the urban myth level . .. . once upon a time it was true, but, as their scoots have become more complex and technologically involved, they've joined the rest of the world in recall-land |

BMW is an ego trip for Nazi's and folks that want to impress you with the logo. All but two of my riding associates out west switched to ST1100's years ago. One owns a BMW aftermarket company and has to ride one for demo's at the rally's and buys/sells a few more each year for R&D purposes. The other gave up and switched after the grief he received when his three month old BMW grenaded on the way back from Death Valley. Three dealers confirmed the manufacturing defect and BMW still tried to weasel out. They ended up honoring their warranty but lost a customer and received a lot of bad press in the process. FYI, Honda sent a nice thank you letter for the pic we sent of an ST1100 towing the BMW back to town with the whole crowd doing the LMAO thing in the background. Nope...No BMW's for me.

Spidey...That is a great idea!!! Am thinking about when and the weekend of the Chicago Motorcycle Show keeps popping up. The Show draws a large number of Buellers and their riding friends. An evening meeting on Friday and/or Saturday during the show would draw well. Not to mention, either a before or after show meeting on Sunday. Just an idea. Any other suggestions??? |

Sounds good to me. Any other ideas? Have the feeling that the ChiTown IMS in February would give us all time to route our favorite rides and mark up the maps. We can then sit around get to know one another, make our respective route presentations, do a question/answer session and plan for 2004 events. Perhaps the result of the Q/A sessions may mean some more homework on each of our parts but it will be a good exercise and the resulting tours will be worth it. Remember to focus on fun scenic roads with historic stops. If you can't find historic, go for great eats and local flavor. |

Maps? We dont need no stinkin maps!! Seriously tho, I dont plan routes out, never have. I just go with the flow & where ever I end up is where I end up. Bike show sounds like a plan, I hit it every year anyways. And judging by spideys pics from the Detroit one last year..ours is bigger. Course I am also considering taking a quick run out to New York jan 2nd for the IMS show there. Bunch of the Borgers are supposed to be there. Have a night on the town also |

Hope somebody besides me had a chance to go riding today. Temps in the mid 50's, relatively clear and the roads were in great shape. Did both the South and North Kettle Moraine areas. Hooked up with some rice rockets and had a gas in the twisties. Fortunately, not too many long straights without traffic so I didn't get left in the proverbial dust. LOL Actually, just teasing about the straights. Yeah, the rice rockets just can't use all that top end HP on these roads and Buells do rule the corners!!! Will be riding again tomorrow if anyone is interested. Pretty much the same areas but will ride almost anywhere if someone wants to join me. Anyone want to go riding Sunday in SE Wisconsin, either email me before 9 AM Sunday Mourning or Call 262-782-5163 and leave a message with number. I will respond either way. |

Ok, heres an idea for a get together. Who has guns?? We could setup a range day. hit the local range & shoot the shit. I know of shooters in north racine, outdoorsman in winthrop harbor Il, we have the outdoor range in Bristol & I am sure there are a few others in racine or milwaukee. You dont need to own a gun either as some of us probably have more than 1 & you can also rent 1 from most places. Go thru a few boxes of ammo, & grab a bite to eat at a local pizza place since the weather is starting to turn ugly. I have a couple .22s, a S&W .357, a ruger 9mm semi, a ruger .45 single action revolver, & for the outdoor ranges I also have a 12 gauge pump which is a lot of fun to shoot. |

Spidey...saw the pics of you and your buds poppin' caps last winter. Yikes, you are your own "Swat Team." Missed the IMS last year, first time ever, even had advance tickets. Bummer. Of course it will be better this year! Then again, with two bikes to support, I need all the info I can get. LOL |

I'm about 50/50 on the IMS show. I fly out of Milwaukee on Sunday morning for CA. Spending a week with my girl and 4 other couples in the Napa Valley. |

A few years back I faithfully went the IMS every year. The I noticed that not even mainstream exotics were at the show....i.e. Ducati MH900e, etc. That is when I stopped going. Now if only we could transplant the recent German show into IMS. I doubt I will go. Although if there is no ice on the ground in february, I will be happy to go for a ride! |

SnowDave...A ride in February...Yep, you are a glutton for punishment. Give the IMS another chance. If nothing else, we will all have a fun time laughing about what is not there and planing some great events for 2004. |

Then again, I rode for five hours today in the mid 40's. Not too bad, I must finally be getting used to the climate here. Crap, this is my 5th winter in Wisconsin. Oy..... |

IMS . .. I'm there, as always . . . . it has gone downhill, as Snow wrote, but it's still a fix in the dead of winter |
